TESS VALMORE

To remind everyone, Tractorpull’s ranking differ from the excellent rankings of Boxing World, as we have a strict must fight or at least challenge rule by every third PPV or 90 days whichever is longer. We will simply not permit a fighter to keep a ranking by not getting into the ring. We do not under any circumstances consider our ranking to be competitive with Boxing Worlds, rather we consider our rankings to be complimentary to those of Boxing World since our rankings are from different viewpoints. We also take into consideration the competition a fighter has faced. A ten fight win streak against weak competition is not as good as a 4-2 record against top competitors. Who decides the quality of competition you might ask. Well since I am doing the rankings, I do

LIGHTWEIGHTS

1. YVONNE STRAHOVSKI There is no doubt that the champion is the number one lightweight with a very impressive six fight win streak, all title defenses, her latest victim being the very good Adrianne Palicki

2, GEMMA ARTERTON She has won four straight with wins over Theron and Garner. She needs to fight on either the next PPV or Asylum card or be dropped from the rankings

3. JENNIFER LAWRENCE She lost to Palicki however she bounced back with an great wine over Cole in the October card. She is 6-3-1 in her last ten

4..ADRIANNE PALICKI Lost her title bout against the champion in the past PPV. She 4-3 since the beginning of 2013 but her victims include Law, Brook and Lawrence

5. RACHEL NICHOLS Suffered a KO loss to Regan in the last PPV, but Regan is a big welter. She was 6-2 in the last two years before that loss, one of those losses being in a title fight with Strahovski

6. ANNA TORV Arguably could be ranked at five. She is 6-2 in the last two years with wins over Larter, Joanne Kelly and the GOAT.

7. MISSY PEREGRYM She is back in the rankings with her win over Cuoco. She is 6-4 over the two years with wins over Strahvoski and Biel as well as Cuoco

8. TAYLOR COLE She is 3-2 during the two years. She has suffered two straight losses to Freeman in a welter title fight and in the last PPV, to Lawrence. She has beaten Theron, Regan and Peregrym which is not too shabby

9. KALEY CUOCO After losing to Peregrym in the latest card, she is 5-5 during the time period. She has two wins over Biel and victories over Strahovski and Lawrence. Her losses hurt her as much as her wins helped her

10. KATY PERRY Has won seven of her last nine with big wins over Upton and in the October PPV Theron. I fear she will need to face overall stronger competition than she has to advance in the rankings

WHO DROPPED OUT

TRICIA HELFER She dropped out of the rankings under the previous administation because of inactivity. I put her back in the rankings since we had a new start under the current leadership. It was in vain. She hasn’t fought this year. She’s gone

ERICA DURANCE What we said above also goes for Durance. She hasn’t fought in a year. It’s going to take more than a couple fights to get her back in

ON THE CUSP

MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD. Seems she is always on the cusp. She is 6-5 recently, but lost four of her last five. Has a hot rivalry with Strahovski who she has beaten five of nine bouts

At present we don’t see many lightweights challenging to get into the rankings. We notice a couple who could well get into the rankings if they became active Joanne Kelly is one that occurs to me

THE WELTERS

Its the same old story that everyone wants deny. This is an inactive, shallow division. In the last PPV which consisted of 21 fights, only two were at welter, that 9% of the fights

1. CASSIDY FREEMAN She’s the champ and she’s the number one welter. She is on a five fight win streak with three successfull title defenses

2, KATRINA LAW She is 4-3 in the last two years She had won four straight before losing to Freeman in a title bout.on the September PPV Interestingly one of her wins was over Freeman

3. LEELEE SOBIESKI With her win in the October Asylum, she is now 7-1 over our time period. Law, although, she didn’t have as good a record, eased Sobieski for second because of the level of competition.

4, GINA LEE NOLIN I think everyone knows my opinion of Nolin She has fouled her way to a 5-2 record to claim the fourth slot An Nolin title shot that was expected on the October card did not materialize

5. KATE UPTON A 5-4 record puts Upton fifth A couple of her losses happened to be to Freeman and Righetti. Her last fight was on the September PPV

6. BRIDGET REGAN Ran into a rough patch losing four out of five. She has won her last two, the last being a KO of a tough Rachel Nichols this months PPV

7. BROOKLYN DECKER I am not sure where the Wiz is placing Decker, but we will give her the benefit of the doubt and put her at welter. She is 6-2, She lost a title fight to Freeman in August. She will need to fight in November to keep her spot in the top ten

8. MOON BLOODGOOD Held the title last year , but is now 3-4 after having lost three of her last four Those losses were to Righetti, Freeman and Upton. She beat Nolin. Her last bout was on the September PPV

9. CHARLIZE THERON Giving her the benefit of the doubt after hearing the Wiz’s defense of her record which is 7-7 over the two years. Those fights included the Welter Crusade which no one but her would dare to take on. My guess is that she will not stay in the top ten

VACANT A search revealed no legitament candidate, some due to poor record, but most due to inactivity

WHO DROPPED OUT

AMANDA RIGHETTI. Arguably the best welter, The new administration took over in May. The first PPV was in August but there other PPV’s held by various stables. She has not appeared in any of them. We might give you grace period of a couple days, but when it’s five months, I don’t care how good you are. You’re gone from the rankings .
