Christina Hendricks seemed unusually reserved before her fight against fellow actress Elizabeth Mitchell. "I think she's definitely undervalued and overlooked. I mean, she beats women a decade younger than her. So, in a sense, getting in the ring with her is sort of a bad strategic choice; the best move for your career is finding the overhyped fighter and making her take a nap on the canvas. But showing the fans a good fight is never a bad move, and I think that's exactly what I'm about to do."

Elizabeth Mitchell was obviously less impressed. "Christina's comeback has been a weird little thing. She shows up after a five year vacation and demands the spotlight for beating up a couple of decidedly below average fighters? Don't get me wrong, she's far from the worst, but I think it's about time someone reminded her that we take things seriously around here."

Christina Hendricks made her entrance wearing teal trunks and bra, getting settled in with her crew in her corner while Elizabeth Mitchell arrived on the scene wearing black trunks and bra.

Round 1:
The match began slowly, with both fighters content to test each other's defenses from a safe distance. Soon it became clear that Mitchell was taking an early lead, forcing her opponent to retreat from the center of the ring on several occasions. Hendricks could land the occasional hit, but she consistently failed to even stall her opponent. As the final seconds of the round ticked down, Hendricks doubled her efforts, attempting to set up a head shot with a blow to Mitchell's body, but the blonde actress was able to knock her away once again before she could inflict her damage.

Round 2:
Hendricks seemed to be in no hurry to speed things up in the second round, despite her opponent's superior position on the scorecard. Through the early stages of the round, she would move in for one or two quick strikes, then fade away during her opponent's inevitable counter. Mitchell, taking the worst of things, began to chase Hendricks more aggressively as the round continued. This proved a mistake, as Hendricks was able to stand and beat her back on several occasions.

Round 3:
With each fighter having had a turn proving her capabilities, both women began the third round aggressively, seemingly eager to break the tie. While Mitchell took an early straight right hand to the chin, she recovered in time to parry Hendricks' next swing. Rallying, Mitchell struck back, surprising Hendricks with a blow to the jaw that made the actress flinch and lose her momentum. Hendricks took a glancing blow to the side of the head before she could cover up. Having taken clear control, Mitchell kept the pressure on, landing the occasional blow, but mainly keeping her opponent off balance.

Round 4:
Again, Mitchell moved to take early control of the round, but this time her opponent was less cooperative. Able to weather a series of blows bouncing off of her guard, Hendricks fought back, getting an indirect hit to her opponent's head in before ending the engagement. Once again, Mitchell seemed to have trouble getting Hendricks where she wanted her, chasing her down only to eat a quick jab and swing at the air. Determined, Mitchell fought on, but Hendricks survived, punishing each of her opponent's failures.

Round 5:
By the fifth round, the crowd had settled in, expecting a drawn out fight that would go to a decision from the judges. Naturally, when Mitchell left her corner, zigged when she should have zagged, and walked straight into a left hook from Hendricks, a few surprised shouts escaped the audience. Suddenly, flailing her arms to keep her balance, Mitchell stumbled to the side and fell to the canvas, nearly tripping over Hendricks, who took a step back with a surprised expression on her face. After taking a moment to realize what had just happened, the crowd erupted into raucous cheering, causing Hendricks to face them and raise a fist. Smiling, shaking her head, and still looking slightly confused, Hendricks then prepared to return to the fight. Mitchell had taken half of the count to stand, but once she was up she ignored the referee's protests, staring Hendricks down and showing her desire to start things up again. When the fight was resumed, Mitchell attempted to make up for her poor luck by going on offense, not quite succeeding but showing that she was still in the fight.

Round 6:
Looking to finish the job she had started in the last round, Hendricks entered the fight throwing bombs that threatened to put Mitchell right back on the canvas. However, parrying and dodging, Mitchell soon showed that no matter what Hendricks would like, she was going to stay on her feet. Sensing that she wasn't going to end the fight any time soon, Hendricks began to fight a bit more carefully, but Mitchell continued to be a thorn in her side, tightly defending herself while punishing her opponent's small missteps. At the bell, Hendricks returned to her corner looking frustrated, having been given an opportunity to finish the fight but falling short.

Round 7:
With her momentum cancelled, Hendricks left her corner looking more reserved and careful in the seventh round. Exchanging jabs with Mitchell from a safer distance, she slowly began to pull ahead, protecting herself while occasionally pre-empting one of Mitchell's attacks with a quick strike. While Hendricks fell short when she attempted a bigger play, she was still connecting and wearing Mitchell down.

Round 8:
In the eighth round, both fighters seemed to draw on their reserves of energy for one big push. Quickly meeting in the center of the ring, Mitchell and Hendricks began to slug it out. Though each fighter parried or dodged the first round of her opponent's attacks, the crowd was on edge, as many of the blows looked strong enough to end the fight on the spot. It was Hendricks who made the first misstep, recovering a bit too slowly after a right hook and absorbing a straight punch in the nose as her punishment. Head snapping back, Hendricks briefly retreated to regain her composure, only to move in once again to get her revenge. Unfortunately for the redheaded actress, Mitchell got the better of her a second time, ducking under one of her swings with surprising agility and striking back twice at her midsection. Grimacing and stumbling backwards, Hendricks found herself trapped on the ropes with her opponent pounding away at whatever she could reach. Hendricks did her best to defend herself, but many of Mitchell's swings got through, striking her ribs and stomach repeatedly. The end of the round saved Hendricks from further punishment, allowing her to limp back to her corner to try again in the next round.

Round 9:
With a solid victory in the previous round, Mitchell looked to seal the deal in the ninth, coming out swinging against a more defensive Hendricks. However, this time Hendricks held up better, not giving away any big hits and taking a few successful shots at her opponent in turn. By the middle of the round, Mitchell had slowed her pace, choosing to play Hendricks' game instead of shooting for the quick finish. By the end of the round, though Hendricks had given a good account of herself, it was Mitchell who had gotten the better of the majority of the exchanges.

Round 10:
With the score too close to call, once again Mitchell went all in against Hendricks in the final round. However, once again Hendricks held up to Mitchell's assault, and once again the mid point of the round saw Mitchell panting and striking more slowly. Now it was Hendricks' turn to go on the attack. In the final round she knocked Mitchell's head about several times, but the blonde actress clung to consciousness with all her might, and was able to stumble back to her corner on her feet when the final bell rang.

When it was time for the decision, both tired, bruised fighters returned to the center of the ring. The final result -- UD10 Christina Hendricks. The victorious fighter spent a moment with the referee raising her fist, her defeated opponent looking away, shaking her head. Hendricks, elated from a combination of the adrenaline rush and the thrill of the win, only celebrated for a moment before hugging Mitchell around the shoulders, leaning on her slightly. Mitchell returned the hug, looking slightly less glum than she had as the decision was announced, and the women exchanged a few words that were thoroughly drowned out by the screams of the crowd before returning to their corners for a well deserved rest.

"I'm sure some people are going to call it a fluke," said Christina Hendricks in her post-fight interview. "She practically handed me that knockdown in the fifth round. I still have no idea what she was doing. But that's the business for you -- make one mistake and there goes the fight. And she had ten rounds to squeeze a mistake out of me, and she couldn't do it. The press can say what it likes; I'm happy with the result."
