Nikki Reed (Unmanaged, FCBA Debut) versus Nina Dobrev (Lookout Boxing)

BEFORE: Things heated between the two former friends on the set of “The Vampire Diaries” as Nikki is dating Nina's ex-boyfriend and current co-star, Ian Somerholder. Nikki continuing to show up on set is creating a lot of tension on the show this season and now, it appears things have come to a head with one particular day on set leading to words and challenges being exchanged. The two of them are meeting in a boxing ring, although few observers on set believe it will settle things between them. It's a hotly debated subject on the set, but Nina will not be dissuaded and in the days leading up to the match, is more determined than ever.

This is abundantly clear in her reaction during Nikki's pre-fight comments: “Nina has been and is a true friend, but right now, I just think she's jealous because she is not the prettiest girl on set anymore. Unfortunately, me coming to set seems to be a reminder of how much she's been outclassed. But, trust me, once we're finished here today, there is going to be nothing keeping me away from set and nothing that she's going to be able to do about that. She's simply going to have to deal with it.”

Nina is furious, seething with a cool glare on her eyes, nostrils flaring a bit as she gazes coolly at Nikki and takes a deep breathe, trying to compose herself before speaking, “Trust me, if there is one feeling I don't have towards Nikki, it's jealousy. Right now, in fact, I'm worried about her if she thinks that she is in any way prettier than I am. I'm the prettiest fighter in the whole league, not just the set of the Vampire Diaries and that's something she is going to have to deal with. Not that the beating I'm about to give her is going to make that any easier...”

Nina is wearing a bright pink bikini with white gloves and hair in a fighting ponytail; Nikki is wearing a red bikini with matching gloves and hair loose around her face. The ref attempts to make the two of them touch gloves, but the look in their eyes convinces him that it would be an exercise in futility, and instead,rings the bell to signal the start of the contest between the two.

R1: Nina surging forward across the ring, looking disciplined and focused, stepping forward behind the jab and some swift hooks to chip away at Nikki's defenses. Nikki keeping her dukes up as well, close to her temples, keeping her head protected as she jabs back just as furiously towards Nina, with the two of them moving clockwise around the ring. Rumor has it that Candice Accola has been sparring with Nikki to get her ready for her debut against Nina, which is something Dobrev will want to determine. At a later date, of course, as right now she has her hands full with Nikki. Nikki trying to compete hard up the middle as she focuses her attention on Nina's taut abs, but Nina returning the favor as she pumps a steady diet of right and lefts into Nikki's firm tummy. Both brunettes looking to soften up opposing breadbasket, just steadily looking to work the other over as they pound one another's ribcage. The two of them hammering viciously at one another, with neither of them getting a clear advantage and were hugging their torsos as they glare at each other with eyes filled with hatred.

R2: Nina responds quickly, shaking off the agony although she does focus on protecting her tummy. Dobrev making it difficult for Nikki to respond though as she just delivers straight rights and lefts, just targeting chin and forehead. Ashley keeping up her gloves, just mirroring Nina's stance the best she can, just jabbing away to keep Nina backwards. This round, however, it's bell-to-bell Nina in a vicious shutout. Afterwards, Nikki makes eye contact with Candice Accola in the crowd, apparently seeking encouragement though disappears when Nina looks out into the crowd, then smirks over at Nikki.

R3: Whatever Nikki found in between the rounds, it appears to have worked. Nikki comes forward going to drill away at Nina's cleavage and ribcage, going to work over the midsection angrily. Nina keeping up her defenses, just scowling in frustration, seeing Nikki just bouncing her mitts off of her tanned tummy and whipping her gloves around her ribcage. Dobrev hammering back as she is pushed backwards towards the ropes, just backpedaling a bit as she is forced to go earmuff. Nikki just gazing coolly at her rival, just whacking away at her foe's head and shoulders as Nina covers up. Dobrev has to end the round butt-in-ropes as Nikki pushes off of her confidently, just meting her eyes confidently, just saying loudly enough for the crowd to hear: “This isn't your set anymore – get used to it. This is MY set now and I'm not going anywhere!!”

R4: Nikki coming forward, eager to pick up where she left off and for the first minute, she's successful. Nikki's gloves penetrate Nina's defenses, just hammering at her torso and pushing her backwards, but Nina's defenses firm up. Then, it's Nina's turn to go on offense as she is just pouncing forward, going to drill right up the middle with a hard combination of one-two punches that rock Reed's head back. Nina spearing with her gloves towards Nikki's cheek, forehead and face. Nikki bringing her gloves up to protect her head, letting the whirlwind of Nina's white gloves buffet around her head and shoulders, just whacking away furiously! Nina hammering down towards Reed's rack, gloves crashing into her cleavage as Nikki tries to cover up. The ref watching with concern, but Nikki shakes her head, blinking back tears as she throws out some hard right and left hands to try to back Dobrev up. Nina pivots away, then comes back with a hard left to tummy, which doubles Nikki up and follows up with a right cross, rising from her hips, that blasts Nikki across her cheek. Nikki's head spinning to the side, arms pinwheeling as she reaches for the ropes and slides down them, sprawling out to her back perpendicular to her back as Nina steps over her towards a neutral corner. Nina steps over to the ropes, bringing her arms up on either side as she gazes over impassively at Nikki as she clutches her head and tries to push up with one arm, then collapses back onto the mats as the ten count passes her by. Nina Dobrev flashes a cool smirk as she wins the match via KO4!

AFTER: Nina stomps over furiously, yanking Nikki up off of the canvas with one hand on her hair and the other on her bikini bottoms, tugging her over to the corner as she tosses her confidently up against it. Nikki crashes back into the corner, gazing up at Nina as she looks out into the crowd, for help or mercy, but whatever she is in search of, she finds neither. Certainly not from Nina as she grips Nikki's chin with one hand and the other yanking on her brunette tresses, forcing her to gaze up at Dobrev. Nina doesn't say anything at first, just delivers a brutal slap across her cheek before asking: “Who is prettier?” Nikki's lower lip trembles, but doesn't say anything, although two more slaps in quick succession make her a little more talkative as she responds with “You are!” Nina sends a backhand across her cheek, “Of course I am! And whose set is this?” Nikki tries to squirm free from the corner, but a quick shove back across her chest sends her thudding back into the turnbuckle as she groans out, blinking back tears. Nikki looks up at Nina, who raises her hand up again and Reed flinches instinctively as she stammers, “Your set.” Nina brings her hand down just inches from Reed's face, “Say my name, Nikki.” Nikki squeals out angrily, “Nina Dobrev is prettier and the Vampire Diaries set is all yours!!” Nina just winks as she shoves Nikki backwards contemptuously and purrs, “Don't you forget it, Nikki. I don't want to see you around here again!!!” Nina then saunters off, just waving off the press as she points back to Nikki in response to any questions they have, apparently feeling like she made her point. Afterwards, it would appear Nikki Reed has in fact, been banned from the set of the Vampire Diaries and although various reasons are given, keen industry observers point to this match as the reason why. Whether that will be the end of it for Nikki and Nina is the question, but for today, Nina is in charge of the set – undisputed, for now.
