First up in the Mandalay Bay Casino are the two ethnic beauties who will contest the most attractive contest of the night despite some people mistaking Nicole Scherzinger and Meghan Markle for ring girls at one point during the weigh-ins last evening. But make no mistake, Nicole Scherzinger thives on this kind of match-up even though she lost a high-profile internal LCA fight with Eva Mendes who is understood to be looking at the Meghan Markle option in case she takes Nicole to the cleaners tonight.

Nicole's been travelling around the world lately, supporting her boyfriend's charge to the Formula 1 WDC but it's time to make some income herself, her FCBA stakes still looking somewhat thin after the infamous Front Street departure and the rapid fire KO1 loss to new frenemy Mendes back in April and the alledged catharsis stoppage of Jamie Chung going almost unnoticed among the leading pundits. "They will acknowledge my presence once I knock Meghan out tonight!", she whispers quietly to herself during the introductions as she searches for the Tractorpull Magazine credits before the week is over.

On the other hand Meghan makes a well-deserved return to the ring, the California-based actress was extremely busy in the latter half of 2013 but took a break from action following a brutal trashing she suffered from Margot Robbie back in January. Now she's ready to box again and dwells on the Mendes prospects as the LCA rumours are spreading very quickly around Vegas these days.

Nicole Scherzinger wears a golden bikini top, black denim microskirt and matching golden gloves. Raven-black hair tied in a high ponytail. Meghan Markle wears a navy blue bikini top, white denim microskirt and navy blue gloves. Dark brown hair loose, curled at the bottom. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
It's a calm start in Vegas with both girls trying each other out in mid-range before Nicole finally goes on the offensive being reminded of Meghan's potential rustiness after such a lenghty spell on the sidelines. She targets the younger brunette's midsection and looks to dig her mitts into Markle's tummy but gets brushed aside as the actress opens up and flexes her muscles by pounding away at the singer's ribs herself. Both women in a heated but short exchange, Nicole bumps her rival away after a brief struggle and finds the left jab on the mouth to slice the guard and switches onto more facial assault as Meghan's forced to dance away from the striking zone rather than respond in aggressive fashion to see out the cagey opening round.

Round 2:
Nicole picks the aggressive mindset and jumps at the actress seconds into the round and digs more leather on the midsection, tries to soften up and slow Meghan down and staggers her well in the opening minute before some Mendes demons come to the fore as Markle swings high and wide but still catches Scherzinger on the top of the forehead and switches low with some gut checking assault. Close range dispute gives Markle the edge as she outworks her foe and finds another hook on the brow ridge with Nicole's efforts fruitless and just skimming off the forearms. Meghan leans on the singer and whacks away at the tummy, moves up for some cleavage shaking and has Nicole in quick retreat thereafter to bounce back from the opening round anonimity.

Round 3:
More lacklustre precision from Scherzinger as Markle finds the superior agility and weaves away from the Hawaiian vixen, a telling sign of her Front Street issues as Meghan counters up high and smacks some flesh, makes the raven-black ponytail fly around before a spooked Nicole seeks respite rather than just plain assault the actress. Meghan more confident in her stance but lacks the big punch to throw Scherzinger into real trouble, still whacks away at the ribcage and slices the guard to punish the rack, slips underneath an overhand response and wrestles a cumbersome looking singer back to the ropes where she gives her navel a proper one-two before the round is over.

Round 4:
Perhaps Nicole's been partying on the F1 paddock a little too eagerly over the last couple of months as she allows Meghan to pummel her around in the opening minute of the fourth again but the overhand counter finally meets some success as she spikes the younger brunette's nose is a desperate attempt to avoid getting pushed onto the turnbuckle again. Close range dust up has Nicole pumping leather into Meghan's cheeks and that breaks the other girl down as Markle's attempts of ravaging the liver area goes for naught and the the actress must cover up as Scherzinger ups the tempo and keeps romping away high, she splits the mitts a couple of times more and has the actress yelping in discomfort at the bell with the fight still far from developing any kind of winning pattern.

Round 5:
Who will break the deadlock? Meghan decides she truly wants to chop Nicole in half sooner rather than later and jumps at the singer hoping to catch her off guard but walks into a right hook and staggers with a whimper on the spot instead. Nicole wastes no time in adding more punishment and rips into the fellow brunette's face with a jabbing series that snaps Markle's head back and makes her yelp in pain as the flurry of punches gives Nicole the breakthrough and backs her into the ropes. Meghan in deep cover but unable to prevent Scherzinger from landing a heavy uppercut on the jaw that drops her arms and enables a follow up right hook to land on the eye and send the actress wobbling forward... another left hook nails her on the temple and DOWN GOES MEGHAN.... the proud actress crashes onto her knees and bends her head against the canvas as Scherzinger screams out in delight. Markle takes her time but beats the count at seven only to remain pinned on the ropes with Nicole trying to bash her guard to pieces and just unloading heavy leather all the way until the bell. Markle survives the onslaught but looks spooked in wake of that knockdown and refuses to look in the singer's eyes.

Round 6:
Nicole ups the intensity and keeps hassling a spooked opponent around the ring; Meghan's short on confidence and tries to enforce a mistake from the singer only to eat punches on the fly as Scherzinger digs into her midsection through the minute mark. Markle with a tame response over the top afterwards but lacklustre in matching Nicole's footwork, a heavy jab on the boobs bends her forward again but the haymaker skims off top of the forehead and enables the actress to clinch her foe. Nicole starts to lose her temper as she throws Meghan against the turnbuckle and punishes her breadbasket but fails to score another knockdown with the actress blatantly clinching her in a desperate effort to survive.

Round 7:
Scherzinger smells a looming finish to this fight but Markle has regained her breath and jumps at the singer to trigger a close range brawl with the singer's midriff taking some unexpected punishment and enabling Meghan to switch higher and pour with facial leather. Nicole's head snaps back and she's truly surprised by Meghan's aggressive approach, a couple of hooks bounce off the nose too before Scherzinger can bruise the ribcage herself but the close range duell ends in Markle landing more punches and backing the singer into the ropes where a late response prevents a complete upheaval; Nicole with some good jabs on the cheeks to stagger Meghan late but the round is lost anyway much to everyone's surprise.

Round 8:
Another close range brawl gives Markle a glimmer of hope as she rips punches into Scherzinger's face and wobbles her back before stalking her tummy. Nicole tries to stretch her elbows but bends forward when the actress harpoons her navel and bounces off the rack as well. Overhand follow up snaps Nicole's head back and makes her retreat but there's no sign of Markle losing her rhythm and physical shape as she hassles the otherwise fast moving singer and nails her with a left/right combo on the nose. Nicole gasps for air and gets stranded along the ropes as Meghan comes flying in and bats the guard aside to make further facial connection; Scherzinger shrieks out in discomfort but gets belted onto the ropes and can only cover up as the younger brunette cleans out her breadbasket to secure a second round on the trot and keep her winning hopes alive.

Round 9:
Markle searches for that knockdown to throw Scherzinger right off her comfort zone but the hazardous approach backfires as she misses a jabbing approach and allows the singer to slip underneath and punish her midsction with a vicious counter. Batting jabs on the navel stagger the actress and she's late to cover an uppercut switch with Nicole getting vocal in her efforts as she smacks Meghan on the chin and staggers her onto the ropes with a loud whimper of pain. Back to Scherzinger attack; she rips punches into the body and traps the actress butt-in-ropes, a truly determined way to derail the comeback which pays off in the final minute when Nicole dissects the gaurd and lumps up Meghan's cheeks with a flurry of punches, the younger brunette almost squeals her heart out but remains upright, still it's all Nicole just bashing herself back to full control again and leaving Markle on soft knees at the bell and needing a knockout in the final round to take the victory.

Round 10:
Meghan's face looks quite swollen now but she has no options left, she has to find that haymaker finish and charges from her stool to punish Nicole. However the singer has more stamina and agility left in her and she easily avoids the chaotic charge before mounting a response on the minute mark with Markle gassing out badly in her fruitless pursuit. Left hand over the top smacks the actress on the eye and Scherzinger adds more facial punishment immediately afterwards. She staggers the aching brunette with a series on the cheeks and makes her arms drop paving the way for a crunching uppercut on the jaw that shuts Markle's eyes and sends her wobbling forward into the path of another left hand which nails her on the ear and DRIVES STRAIGHT ONTO THE CANVAS... Meghan goes down on her side like a sack of potatoes with her eyes closed and remains unresponsive to the count passing her by. KO10 Nicole Scherzinger!!!

AFTER: That was a good way to start the action in Vegas even though the fight took some time to finally provide the sparks. Nicole Scherzinger refuses to admit she's not good enough for SSB anymore; the Front Street axing and Eva Mendes KO1 demons are chased away and Meghan Markle's numb presence postpones the retirement plans. The Hawaiian singer is very keen to send out a message to Tess Valmore and everyone else in the newsroom but the verdict is still out.

"I'm not done in this business!", Nicole argues during the post-fight interview as Meghan is helped off onto her stool looking all dizzy and unable to embrace the defeat just yet, "Too many people have written me off but I know I can still prove my worth! Nevermind the glass jaw comments! I can still punish some girls and Meghan is as good scalp as it gets on anyone's record! I have few years left in me and it may take Jenny Mac repeating the Eva Mendes trick to make me retire before I'm 40! How is that for a plan for you?"
