Adelaide Kane (Pretty Little Punchers) v Victoria Justice (Kear's Kats)
(Words: Knowlesey / Results: Lookout!)

These two young brunettes are both ambitious within the FCBA – but which of them has the talent?

Adelaide’s first into the ring in a white one-piece outfit with white boots and gloves, with the younger, slightly taller Victoria in pink bikini, gloves and boots, every inch the Nickelodeon princess!

Round 1

The girls are working each other out at first, with Victoria moving well, stabbing Adelaide’s face with her jab, a smart, stinging punch to keep the Australian at bay early on, but she’s not being hurt at all, and she starts to fight back, giving Tori some work around the body, stalking the kid, making it tough for her to step in off her jab, Adelaide beginning to wear her down a little, pushing her backwards.  Victoria wants to stay mobile, but Adelaide just isn’t letting her make the rules in this opening round, keeps in tight, thudding her gloves into the American girl’s ribcage, looking the more aggressive boxer because of it, and grinding out a first round in her favor.

Round 2

Gail Kim wants Victoria to be quicker, snappier – and her girl’s obeying her coach’s instruction now as she gets on her toes and fires the punches into Adelaide at pace, stepping to and fro, making life hard for the older girl, snapping her head back with fast, straight punches, forcing Adelaide into combat this time, gets caught with the Aussie’s left hook, but still comes forwards, makes Adelaide step back, wants her on the ropes, but now she has her there, she doesn’t take advantage really, just keeps those stabbing jabs a-coming without ever looking like she’s ready to open up with the sort of harder punch she’ll need if she’s ever going to put the girl away, and this is costing her, because Adelaide’s sneaking some of her own punches through and into Victoria’s body, not enough to take the round off her, but enough to make Gail Kim angry in the Kats corner.

Round 3

Adelaide comes of her stool looking a little pink, but she’s bristling aggression again, and she starts working Tori around the ring again, just like she did in the opening round, starting to make the kid look naive as she draws her in and gives her a clean right hook to her mouth, a punch hard enough to have Tori clinching, holding to get her senses back, but she’s taking some good blows to the body before the referee takes over and pulls the girls apart.  Victoria’s cagier again now, and she’s looking a more classy boxer because of it, Adelaide again finding pink leather smacking into her cheeks again as the younger girl claws her way out of trouble and back into the round, finishing with a neat flourish as she Adelaide a quick one-two to send the girl back to her corner more thoughtful than she appeared a minute earlier when she seemed to be dominant.

Round 4

Again it’s Adelaide who comes out looking for trouble, and she’s giving it to Victoria in the shape of a pair of clubbing hooks to the body, the taller actress buckling a little because of that, but she doesn’t get the chance to clinch as Adelaide whips up a cracking uppercut, her glove glancing off the kid’s face, and she staggers backwards, Adelaide closing in – but Victoria fights back, and fights back hard, hitting the Australian as she comes in, snapping off three good punches to her face, Adelaide sagging at the knees as she feels Victoria’s whippy left hook coming over the top of her guard, and now she’s the one looking to hang on and clinch, with the youngster pretty much stung into action this time, and she’s turned Adelaide around, pushed her along the ropes, and she’s giving her two more left hooks before the bell as she snatches back a round she was losing.

Round 5

With Adelaide beginning to bruise around her right eye, Victoria’s looking the better fighter by a distance, and she’s tiring the older girl out by keeping up a barrage of punches to her face, and she hurts Adelaide with a right and a left, the girl tottering a little as she looks increasingly vulnerable, Victoria trapping her on the ropes again, just standing off a little too much to really nail  the girl with a finishing shot, just contenting herself really with being able to hit her as she likes, Adelaide offering little of her own punches back as Victoria gets home again, her left hook really telling on Adelaide, the girl not defending herself at all well, not seeming capable of blocking Victoria, and certainly finding it tough to live with the pace the kid’s keeping, and she has to be relieved to have survived that round, her right cheek livid now as it swells.

Round 6

It’s Victoria on top again, and Adelaide just must stop her, must defend her face better – but she’s not up to it now, really, and Tori drills her left hook over the top of her guard, Adelaide bouncing backwards to the ropes, Victoria gives her a straight left this time, now a right cross, and Adelaide’s butt hits the canvas, the referee beginning his count, the girl looking like she’s getting up, but she just can’t, her knees buckling, and she slowly rolls to her side as the count goes the full 10.

Result: Victoria Justice knocked out Adelaide Kane in round 6.

Victoria showed tonight that she has style and a growing amount of power, something she hasn’t really shown before, but it’ll need a better fighter than Adelaide to beat her on this form.
