After Michelle Keegan's departure from Coronation Street Kym Marsh thinks she's the best brunette on the show's line-up and wants to confirm her status by taking on the raunchy Spanish TV girl Pilar Rubio who's most famous for being Real Madrid's defender Sergio Ramos' spouse. The WAGs never seem to earn the respect they so desperately want and what Kym wants is to simply knock the Spanish girl out!
Kym Marsh wears a lacy black basque top, matching boy-leg trunks and red gloves. Raven-black hair tied in a high ponytail. Pilar Rubio wears a red bikini set and black gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a classic ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.
Round 1:
Durability isn't quite the strong suit of these women so they start pounding away at each other from the opening bell with Kym landing some shots to the jugs trying to overcome bad memories from her clash against Helen Flanagan but when Pilar slams her against the temples she retreats from close range and has the Spanish brunette hassling her before an overhand counter switches the momentum again. Rubio gets nailed on the nose and sags immediately as Marsh whips more facial leather and pummels the WAG back to the corner where she keeps swinging high and clipping Pilar's face to secure the opening round in her favor.
Round 2:
Pilar tries to brawl in close range again but eats an uppercut series to the jugs and only skims off Kym's ribcage herself, a swift hooking combo nails her on the jaw and wobbles backwards on the minute mark to complete the miserable opening and it's Marsh pumping leather on the face thereafter again. She splits Pilar's mitts repeatedly with aggressive jabbing and pummels her backt to the turnbuckle where she switches lows on the navel and sags the Spanish brunette deep. Rubio seeks a clinch but can't stop Marsh from dissecting her ribcage and just leans forward to eat a vicious uppercut on the chin right at the bell instead.
Round 3:
Marsh keeps pounding away as she dominates the footwork department and sizzles a hapless looking Spanish WAG with a cross hooking opening that sends the guard into tatters and enables the Corrie actress to jab at her nose thereafter. Pilar's head snaps back & forth as she sinks on her knees and half-turns instead of retreat; Marsh wades one in on the jugs and bends her forward before finding another cross hook to the nose... DOWN GOES RUBIO... the Spanish brunette just collapses after that clean shot and ends up on all fours... she gets up at seven but Kym is right into her cleavage and pumps uppercuts to push her butt-in-ropes as only a late clinch saves Rubio from a complete disaster.
Round 4:
The English actress threatens to run away with this one as Pilar's desperate attempt to win the close range dust up results in Kym slamming a quick one-two on the nose and follow that up with a piercing hook to the temple... PILAR GOES DOWN AGAIN... she tumbles to her side and just doesn't seem able to take a punch here anymore... Marsh glares down at her with evil looks; the fight is resumed after a long eight count and there's some spark left in Rubio's eyes... it gets wiped out by another jabbing combo to the face as Kym just pounds her foe back to the ropes and switches on the ribcage to bend Pilar forward as she tries to dissect her liver area... another lucky break for the Spanish WAG as she hangs on until the bell but her demise seems to be ineviteable now.
Round 5:
Pilar's too slow to stay out of trouble and as she covers up high to prevent more facial assault Kym whacks her against the ribs instead and renders completely numb in the middle of the ring, a series of piercing jabs crash off Rubio's ribcage and wobble her back towards the ropes with a loud whimper... she closes her eyes and fails to react when Kym pours more facial shots to leave a nasty shiner under the left eye and make the REF STEP IN to prevent a looming execution inside the ring... TKO5 Kym Marsh!!!
AFTER: Apparently Pilar was more busy rubbing on her hubby Sergio rather than working the training drill lately and it showed brutally clear tonight as Kym just tore her apart. Word on the street is that Rubio is on her way out of Lioness Club unless a miracle happens sometime over the winter. Marsh isn't perhaps the top selling name on Coronation Street these days but she caught a vulnerable opponent at a critical time and got rewarded - if not gifted - with a fine stoppage victory. That's never a bad thing especially when internally you've got Helen Flanagan stopping your jugs and Roxanne Pallett making a victorious US debut to deal with!
Final result: Kym Marsh def. Pilar Rubio TKO5.
