BEFORE:

"So, this is it," says Charli with a smile. "The big FCBA debut. Nice to get to do it here in Philly where they like to get an international flavor on the cards. And, after I beat Rambin tonight, maybe I'll get more opportunities here and on pay-per-view."

"This is kind of a big fight for me," says Leven with a nod. "The last couple haven't gone so well, and we've got a crowded division here. I don't want to get buried, so I need to get this turned around. No time like the present."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and surely you recognize 'Boom, Clap' and here comes the singer of that song, the lovely Charli XCX!"

Cassie: "Uncle Wiz has broken several new girls in here at Asylum over the years, and he's decided to try to do more of that in 2015..."

McCarthy: "Of COURSE he has, because he absolutely LOVES bringing in girls with ZERO wins to puff up the record of his Dancing Hookers..."

Cassie: "Well, there's actually an easier way for him to do that. He can just trick YOU into taking another fight..."

McCarthy: "You LITTLE..."

O'Dell: "Now, calm DOWN, Mac. The only thing HBO has in the can if we go off the air is 'Eaten Alive In Al Capone's Vaults', and we don't want to subject the fans to THAT. Charli, a British beauty from Cambridge, into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a tiger print bikini that the boys clearly like, and that's 'Stray Heart' by Green Day you hear, and here comes the star of that video, the lovely Leven Rambin!"

McCarthy: "And it's fitting that her opponent is wearing tiger print, because, like tigers, Rambin's an endangered species at Front Street and, if she loses tonight, Flavor Of The Month Weirdo is going to make her extinct..."

Tess: "On the contrary. Wiz has said many times that Leven is early in her development and he expects ups and downs..."

McCarthy: "Oh, he can SAY anything he wants, but ask all the girls he's FIRED if you can believe what he says..."

Cassie: "Actually, he's fired ONE girl, Avril Lavigne, who he brought back and made a vice president..."

McCarthy: "What about Scherzinger, Seyfried, and Spears, Jr?"

Tess: "The first two were TRADED, and Rambin is here as a result of one of those trades, the latter still works for Front Street in the front office..."

McCarthy: "All I know is, they didn't win enough to satisfy Weirdo and now they aren't around anymore."

O'Dell: "Rambin into the ring. Helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve to reveal that bubblegum pink number Tess hates, and we're about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess prefers Leven. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Rambin's endangered, but she's safe for another night. She'll beat a tyro. But, maybe she should go in the tank, get out of her contract, and go somewhere where management could develop her."

O'Dell(sighing): "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess."

O'Dell: "It's unanimous, and there's the bell. Rambin quickly makes with the jab, wants to use all that length to her advantage. Charli very athletic, moving very well right now trying to stay off center..."

McCarthy: "That's what she's got to do, but right now, Rambin's dictating with the jab. She's getting it home and basically keeping the brunette out of range..."

O'Dell: "AND THERE'S A RIGHT HAND FOLLOW AND CHARLI'S WOBBLED!"

Cassie: "Set that up with the jab. Stopped Charli with the left and dropped the right quick as you like!"

O'Dell: "Rambin now looking to follow, backing Charli up with some hard shots to the head and face. The Brit giving ground, backed to the ropes, covering up now as Leven goes to work..."

Tess: "Charli in the high guard, moving the head and shoulders, trying to roll with punches, pick others off, jabbing back in spots. She's not panicking, and no one would be surprised if she did, getting caught this early in her first FCBA fight..."

O'Dell: "No question the brunette's hanging in there as we go down the stretch. Leven setting up her punches, picking at the holes in the Brit's defenses, piling up points, but not finding the 'off' switch. Five seconds to go. There's the bell. First to Rambin wide, but Charli's still standing."

McCarthy: "And, what could have been a disaster is only a 10-9 lead. Give the kid credit for hanging in there."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round underway and Rambin back to that long left poke. Leven range-finding with it, making Charli work to avoid it. The brunette again all movement, wants to keep the jab off her..."

McCarthy: "Charli's got the right idea with the movement, but she needs to be more aggressive. She's staying outside, just playing defense. She has to penetrate and get her offense going, both to get some points and to stop Rambin from zeroing in..."

O'Dell: "And that's what she's looking to do as we head into the second half of the round. Charli with that right glove high, looking to pick the left, slide past, go to work at middle distances. Rambin wanting to hook from that range and THERE'S A RIGHT HAND FROM CHARLI AND LEVEN'S WOBBLED!"

McCarthy: "Beautiful right hook!"

O'Dell: "And the Brit now looking to take advantage, letting the leather fly!"

Cassie: "Good strategy! Charli with nothing to lose here. Go all in!"

O'Dell: "And, that's precisely what she's doing. Now it's Leven backing up and coverin up with the brunette gets off lusty. Charli concentrating upstairs, but working some to the body as well. Final 30 seconds of the round. Rambin backed to the ropes with the guard up, doing some clinching and wrapping up, looking to run clock. Charli punching free, lands another good right hand at the bell. Wow! Quite a turnaround!"

Tess: "Sure was, but, like last round, the girl in trouble survives, meaning it's only a 10-9 round, and that evens this one at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third round underway and Charli looking to keep her roll going, but Rambin has the legs back and she's slowing down the brunette with some solid flurries, working the right off the jab. Charli working forward, keeping that right glove high, then trading at middle distances..."

Cassie: "I like the aggression from Charli. A lot of times, tyros are too much one way or the other. They get overly aggressive and sloppy, or they spend the fight trying to be too fine, but Charli's found the middle ground, and quickly."

O'Dell: "She has, indeed. She's getting to her spots and scoring when she does. Rambin more than willing to fire back in those situations, though, and that's leading to some good, solid exchanges."

Tess: "Both girls putting punches together very well. This isn't one-shot stuff, it's good combinations."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Nobody getting hurt in this flurries, but both girls landing solid punches, and it's almost all upstairs. Not much body work going on."

Cassie: "Not a surprise. Charli's first fight, and Leven's only in her seventh. Sometimes developing fighters forget about the body, especially when they've had success upstairs, and both these girls have tonight."

O'Dell: "Final seconds ticking off here in the third and another good, two-way exchange at the bell. Close one, but Rambin."

McCarthy: "Which gives the blonde the 29-28 lead after three."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "We're into the fourth and we're seeing Charli getting to her spots again. The Brit finding a way past the jab of the longer Leven, getting to those middle distances and starting some good, sharp exchanges..."

Cassie: "You know, the more I see Charli, the more she reminds me of Pink. They're both very athletic, move very well. The same height. The same kind of build..."

Tess: "There are similarities, although even Charli isn't as athletic as Pink..."

McCarthy: "And THIS kid didn't spend years DUCKING me like Pink did..."

O'Dell(sighing): "Got to like the fact that she's getting her terms as well. Not a lot of fighters, four rounds into a career, are able to do that, but Charli's getting it done. On the other hand, Rambin's not getting the chance to work at range as she prefers, but she's holding her own doing what Charli wants to do..."

Cassie: "And that's not usually easy to do, but, there are going to be times in your career when you have to."

O'Dell: "We're heading down the stretch in the fourth of what's turning into a crowd pleaser. Plenty of action as these flurries are only increasing in intensity as the round goes on. Some solid leather landing. Sweat flying. Plenty of work getting done by both blonde and brunette right to the bell! Another two-way round, but, again, Rambin getting more done."

Tess: "And Leven's now built a bit of a lead, 39-37, but we have a long way to go."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins with the brunette aggressive again. Showing all that athletic movement, working past Rambin's jab to get to her spots and go to work, and create the exchanges she wants. Again, Rambin willing to stand in there and bang, using her own good feet to angle and square."

Cassie: "Very good stuff from both fighters. They aren't just standing flat-footed banging away. They're working hard with the hands and the feet..."

O'Dell: "AND THERE'S THAT SNEAKY HOOK FROM CHARLI!"

McCarthy: 'And Rambin's hurt!"

O'Dell: "No question about it! Leven wobbled and now Charli turning up the heat. Leven covering up and trying to hold her ground, but she can't do it. The brunette all about the clean up, driving the blonde into the ropes and going to work with both hands. Rambin keeping the guard high, putting the body on sale..."

Tess: "Charli not buying, though. She wants to end this thing right now."

O'Dell: "And she's doing everything she can to get that done. Rambin trying to jab back, moving the head and shoulders, keeping the guard high and tight, just trying to run clock here. The Brit all over her, winging away from every angle you can think of, trying to find the switch to shut down power. Not going to do it, as the final seconds tick away and there's the bell, but a big round for Charli!"

Tess: "And she's cut the lead to 48-47 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Into the sixth now and Charli right back at Rambin. Leven still trying to shake off what happened last round. She's giving ground, trying to jab for space, but Charli's not having any. The brunette doesn't even want middle distances now, she wants to close and bang..."

McCarthy: "I've said this before, some fighters are finishers and some fighters aren't. Fifteen minutes into her career, it's looking like this Charli XCX kid IS..."

O'Dell: "She's certainly going about it the right way. Pressuring. Backing Rambin up, taking all the canvas she can get, and working hard. She's keeping up a heavy rate of fire..."

Cassie: "And she's not getting sloppy, either. She's scoring with both hands and trying to create openings instead of just swinging for the fences."

O'Dell: "Rambin staying off the ropes. She's got enough leg to move and make Charli stalk, but the Brit's more than happy to do just that."

Tess: "Leven's legs seem to be coming back as the round moves on..."

O'Dell: "That, they do, but Charli's fighting lead and suppressing the blonde with her volume and power. She's grabbed control, and, despite Rambin countering in spots, she's keeping a firm grip on it right to the bell. Shutout round for Charli."

McCarthy: "And the brunette has evened the fight at 57, but it doesn't feel even at the moment. It feels like Charli's taking command."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "We move into the seventh of a close one, and the brunette aggressive again. Charli coming forward, wants to pressure Leven. The blonde holding ground now and firing back, not willing to retreat or cede the lead to the Brit. Charli determined to stay on it, however, and that's leading to some spirited exchanges..."

Cassie: "This is all about Charli trying to keep her offensive going and Rambin trying to stabilize."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it, and both women willing to throw the reserves in to get the job done. Neither wants to give an inch out there and both are working hard to hold canvas. Charli again getting to those middle distances, and Leven more than willing to work there as we've seen in previous rounds..."

McCarthy: "Charli looking a little more to the body now. I like that. She's got a taller girl here, so you've got a little more of an opening down there."

O'Dell: "The brunette not concentrating on the body or anything, but she's doing enough to score some points. Rambin working mostly upstairs, trying to set up rights with the left jab. Both fighters putting punches together pretty well this round, as we're seeing good exchanges right to the bell. Close round. Rambin."

Tess: "Which makes it 67-66 with three to go."

ROUND EIGHT:

O'Dell: "Nine scheduled minutes left in what's been a good one. Charli again working forward, getting to her spots, and getting off. Rambin doing plenty of her own work on the Brit's terms. Leven getting some hard right hands home, but the brunette responds with some good leather of her own."

McCarthy: "Charli has some power. No question about that. She's solidly built and this kid can hit."

O'Dell: "Sure can, and she can backed Rambin up a step with that right hand and follows with a solid combination and DOWN GOES CHARLI! Leven with an overhand right and Charli spills to her back!"

Cassie: "Dropped that right over her left glove. Anticipated the left and let the right hand go, and it landed clean, Jenny O!"

O'Dell: "Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Charli rolls to all fours. Nine. TEN! It's over! The brunette still on hands and knees as the count passes her by. And your winner by KO8 is 'The Houston Solution', Leven Rambin!"

Tess: "But quite a performance by Charli XCX, the kind of performance that makes you want to see more of a girl."

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore."

Tess: "I have our winner, Leven Rambin, and, Leven, tough fight..."

Leven: "Sure was. She's very physical, and we knew that coming in. She's quick, too, and hard to find, so we figured I couldn't keep her outside. That meant it was going to be a dogfight, but, I'm always ready for those."

Tess: "Kind of big to get the win..."

Leven: "Definitely. I'd lost two in a row coming in, and I certainly didn't want to make it three, not with all the competition we have around here."
