With Una Healy in good form of late, 34 year old Roxanne McKee might be forgiven for backing out of her first BBU fight of 2015, but she wants to be the girl who ends Una’s winning run, and spoils her chance of a showdown with the impressive Dorota Rabczewska.

Roxanne’s in the ring first, wearing black bra, panties, gloves and boots, with the slightly younger Una in a white leather jumpsuit, the shorts part of which are little more than knickers, white gloves and white boots.

Round 1

Una’s fairly slow as the round begins, but as Roxanne starts to get into a rhythm, she’s becoming a little quicker, but Roxanne’s finding the space to fight well, and she’s landing good punches, but Una’s on her toes and either they don’t land, or if they do, they aren’t clean shots, and Una lands a couple of good combinations of her own on a slightly static Roxanne, who’s trying to slow her down with shots to her body, but Una’s just that bit quicker, that bit better, maybe, and she’s getting on to in the closing moments, using her experience to show the judges wahts she can do, popping Roxanne’s head back, and stealing a close round with her late display.

Round 2

In fairness, there’s nothing much between these two girls in this fight, but Una’s more mobile than Roxanne, and that’s putting her in front points wise. The singer’s evasive too, and she’s making it hard for Roxanne, who misses with her bigger shots, and the fight’s becoming more open as the seconds tick by, the singer starting to control the actress, letting her have a few tasty punches to her body now, which kind of negates Roxanne’s tactics, and she’s just about starting to show Roxanne what fighting’s all about at this level, bumping her around a little bit as the round draws to a close, again just making sure she takes the judges attention, and Roxanne looks a little shopworn as she goes to her corner, a bruise swelling up on her left cheekbone.

Round 3

Roxanne comes out of her corner like a girl who hasn’t just taken just taken a thumping, and the girl’s getting on top again in the early moments, and she’s at last manages to keep Una sready, stops her moving around, and gives her a solid one – two, which has Una buckling at knees, the Irish singer looking shaky for the first time in this fight, but Roxanne gets over excited, makes a mistake, misses and starts to look ragged, and now Una finds space, and she’s finding the actress an easier target as she starts to tire, hurting her with counter punching, her some of her punches a little slappy, but she dominates the latter stages of this round, starting to make Roxanne move backwards, putting her in trouble against the ropes in the closing moments, the actress looking very tired.

Round 4

The well travelled Una’s spotted that maybe Roxanne’s fading, and that the girl’s unable to keep going with the momentum she was trying to build up, and the Irish singer’s really beginning to hurt Roxanne now, turning on the heat a little too much for the actress to take, and she gets her backed into the ropes, and keeps her there, landing heavy punches, Roxanne not looking like she can get herself out of trouble - looking at her corner, eyes creased, crying a little, and she’s lost, a big overarm left knocking her down, and she doesn’t get up from that, just lays on the canvas, face down, breating deeply.

Result: Una Healy knocked out Roxanne McKee in round 4

Una looks pleased with that performance, and so she should, the experienced redhead more than ready for Dorota Rabczewska on this form, but the girls may still have at least one fight each before they square off.
