BBU FIGHT NIGHT FROM THE WEMBLEY ARENA

When you're a member of the Girls Aloud you're destined to grace the Main Event and there's no exception for Nicola Roberts who sets up the redhead battle for the ages against fellow singer - of Atomic Kitten fame - Natasha Hamilton. The "other" redhead skipped former bandmate Liz McClarnon's epic failure vs Dorota Rabczewska earlier this month and as the matter of fact all is not well among the Kittens unlike at least the part of Girls Aloud as Sarah Harding and Kimberley Walsh are ready to support Nicola's bid for glory in the Wembley Arena tonight.
Unsurprisingly Cheryl Cole and Nadine Coyle are missing after their feud over the missed wedding invitation boiled over towards the end of 2014 but even though Girls Aloud are now disbanded, they still generate the biggest BBU numbers outside of the Alesha Dixon vs Jessica Schwarz rivalry! Sarah Harding has confirmed she plans to open her 2015 account against the highly-touted Azealia Banks and that further adds to the Girls Aloud stock even though Cheryl Cole was stripped of her Newcastle tiara by fellow Geordie Jade Thirlwall. More on the planned power overthrow among the UK girls bands later as the announcer is ready to start the introductions and so are the two redheads!
Natasha Hamilton wears a white bikini top, black hip-huggers & boots and golden gloves. Nicola Roberts wears a green bikini top, white boy-leg trunks and black gloves & boots. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.
Round 1:
Natasha tries to upset the odds and hassles Nicola early, jabs between her arms and makes a good connection with the lips snapping Roberts' head back and closing the distance to enforce further body assault. Nicola struggles to embrace the onslaught and has to weave away from trouble but gets clobbered on the tummy and wobbles forward into Natasha's jabs which pierce her guard again and result in more facial misery. Hamilton really digs into her rival's cheeks and pounds a helpless fellow redhead back to the ropes come the final minute, she switches low again to maintain the pressure and bounces off the navel repeatedly in the dying seconds to slump Roberts on her knees.
Round 2:
More aggressive jabs from Natasha pierce Nicola's guard in mid-distance before a subsequent follow up drills the chin and spins Roberts to the side with a loud groan. All Hamilton thus far who just thuds her way through a lacklustre defence and bats Nicola back to the ropes again where the Girls Aloud redhead tries to fight from the back foot but only grazes the forearms and eats overhand onslaught instead. Natasha bumps off the cleavage and drops Nicola's gloves to slam a cross hook combo on the mouth and sink her foe butt-in-ropes soaking up more midriff punishment thereafter. She looks in truly superior form after six minutes leaving Nicola shaking her head in complete disbelief at the bell.
Round 3:
Sarah and Kimba try to help coach Gina Wild with some advice but it's all fruitless in the third again as Hamilton beats Roberts for the initial overhand approch and digs deep into her cheeks, leaving the fellow redhead stranded and swaying back & forth down the stretch as the golden gloves bump off the pretty face and result in few bruises marking Nicola's terrible day at the office thus far. Natasha realizes she's on course to whitewash her foe and teases her into some action, scolws in disdain but still pierces the high guard at will and scythes Nicola's mouth into swelling mode, adds a jumping uppercut straight up the ante and just dumps her spawling into the ropes before thumping her on the nose to run away with the third consecutive round.
Round 4:
Nicola Roberts looks worse out there than Cheryl Cole did against Jade Thirlwall but she finally rocks Natasha off her comfort zone with a desperate but otherwise successful hook on the eye that slips by the defence and allows the Girls Aloud redhead to send more facial leather and force Hamilton into recovery circles. Still, Natasha prevents a close range dust up and keeps Roberts at bay for most of the round with menacing single shots around the temples; she's build an early gap and looks to protect it as long as possible while Nicola drops her aggression in the final minute and looks happy just to avoid more facial lumps at the bell.
Round 5:
Another sluggish round as Natasha decides not to punish the fellow redhead and lets her run her game; the single punches make little damage to each woman though and there's a lenghty clinch in between that really pulls the plug on the entire action. Nicola does looks really flat after lack of frequent opportunities during most of the 2014 season while Hamilton has faith in her endurance taking Kimberley Walsh eight rounds last time out. The Lioness Club corner is close to losing their temper as this kind of pushing & shoving plays straight into Hamilton protecting her early lead on the cards. And the Wembley Arena crowd doesn't like it either as both girls are booed out after the bell. According to Denise van Outen - very rightfully so!
Round 6:
Both women are far off the bantamweight elite and it clearly shows in a half-hearted approach to start the second part of this bout; Natasha still tries just to see out anything that Nicola throws at her and perhaps the Kimberley Walsh defeat keeps lingering on her mind as well. Anyway, there's not enough venom from Roberts who settles into mid-range leather exchange that makes no damage at all and results in Natasha opening up late and increasing her leather action. She bumps off Nicola's cleavage and finds the piercing jabs working well on target again as Roberts ducks & weaves around but stil gets caught with a solid jab to the solar plexus and sinks on her knees with a quiet whimper. Hamilton runs out of time to add further punishment though and is dragged away by the ref looking a little annoyed for the first time tonight.
Round 7:
Natasha triggers the jug assault; a sudden burst of speed catches Nicola off guard with the older redhead pounding through on her chest and rocking the mounds repeatedly. Roberts tries to clinch her foe to tame the onslaught but Hamilton bumps her off and scythes across the mouth before resuming the rack barrage. Nicola backs off from the one-way traffic with a quiet whimpers and bellows out onto the ropes as Natasha keeps the pressure on and hoofs the breasts against the chin to dump Roberts into real trouble. She clatters into the navel down the stretch with Nicola sinking and sobbing in pain and just unable to match the feorcity on display. Natasha steps back briefly in the final minute but has her opponent gasping for air and a vicious hook nails an aching Roberts on the right eye to bend her against the turnbuckle at the bell with the former Atomic Kitten redhead routing her pillar-to-post in this round.
Round 8:
Nicola tries to make a late comeback but only bumps into Natasha's chest with single hands and gets promptly countered over the top with the older redhead slamming leather on the right eye again. Roberts' head snaps back repeatedly and the poor girl is backed into the ropes again where Hamilton cleans out her breadbasket before trying to make the jug connection. This time she gets blocked off but as Nicola tags her on the temple she answers with a clubbing series on the nose and spins her across the turnbuckle where she traps her for good and keeps thumping on the stomach to close Nicola's eyes who wobbles back & forth and slumps onto her nemesis again just unable to provide any resistance nor an aggressive comeback whatsoever. Hamilton is a rousing display in the Main Event and the one-sided ass kicking seems to have no limits.
Round 9:
The Lioness corner has given up hopes on Nicola making any sort of a comeback here and the proud redhead falls prey into more Hamilton leather early in the ninth again as the Atomic Kitten singer looks set to secure the rematch glory in a highlight fashion. She bumps into Roberts' cleavage and renders her immobile in the middle of the ring before sending uppercuts on the jaw and dismantling the guard in the proccess. Nicola is a sobbing wreck come the minute mark; she weathered all the gut & chest assault but her chin isn't made of iron and after Natasha nails her three times on the spin it all proves too much for the Girls Aloud faithful... NICOLA IS DOWN... she just crashes to her side with eyes closed and moans her heart out as Natasha makes some obscene gestures towards Sarah Harding... the count is slow and saves Roberts from ultimate departure; the banged up redhead's up at eight and seemingly ready to suffer more punishment... Natasha prefers to watch as Nicola can barely stay on her feet before mounting that late charge, she bats the mitts aside and nails her with more clean uppercuts on the chin... Roberts is gonna have her jaw broken at this rate even though she spins away from her nemesis who looks to add more damage and lets one go on the kidneys in a sign of frustration... Ref hauls Hamilton off and deducts her a point on the spot however it doesn't matter anymore as Nicola signals to her corner she's all done here and wants to quit the fight... HERE COMES THE TOWEL... after winning a grand total of zero rounds on the night there's just no way Roberts can salvage ANY pride from this contest... Epic TKO9 Natasha Hamilton!!!
AFTER: Natasha might have lost to Kimberley Walsh a little over a month ago but she really beat the daylights out of Nicola Roberts tonight to pull the internal series at one all. And this was a huge ass-kicking from Hamilton who indicates in her post-fight interview with Charlie Webster she's like to have a shot at Sarah Harding and Melanie Chisholm sometime in the spring. "There's just not enough respect for the Atomic Kittens anymore! We were the top selling bunch after the Spice Girls and now everyone talks about Girls Aloud, Sugababes and those creampuff Little Mix sluts! That's soooo annoying! Sure, Jenny's BBU career is nothing short of disaster and Liz suffered a huge beating from that Polish bimbo lately BUT I'm gonna save our butts with more wins like tonight! If I were Sarah Harding I'd be really worried. Heck, if Azealia Banks can destroy her that would be ideal for me to face that blonde whore next! You haven't heard the last of me!"
Meanwhile Sarah Harding doesn't realize she's been issued a challenge as both she and Kimberley Walsh are forced to console Nicola Roberts who suffered one of the biggest defeats in an otherwise lacklustre career. All the headlines aside, Nicola just keeps struggling to deliver that breakthrough performance and even being the odds on favorite tonight failed to make her steal the show as she got absolutely smoked by a seemingly inferior opponent. Forcing Gina Wild to throw in the towel is the ultimate disaster and won't go down well with the Lioness Club executives and there are rumours Nicola will be given the sparring duties in the upcoming weeks to somehow get her act back together.
Final result: Natasha Hamilton def. Nicola Roberts TKO9.
