MEGHAN MARKLE VS SUMMER GLAU
(Words: Vassago / Results: Lookout!)

BEFORE: Summer Glau makes a much welcomed return to the ring after a tough decision loss to Nina Dobrev last October which deprived her of the "prettiest brunette" bragging rights at the expense of the Lookout! Boxing member and what's worse, Meghan Markle targets her without any respect whatsoever tonight and promises to wreck her guts in order to maintain the high spirits following her own epic knockout of Eva Mendes last December.

Indeed, the Mendes fight was Meghan's breakthrough and many people think Glau is even a tougher opponent which really speaks volumes about Markle's confidence right now however the famous bendy operator should never be underestimated and we'll see if she can make Meghan pay tonight and retain the previous pecking order. Because Summer will never admit Meghan is the better woman and would rather allow the fellow brunette to knock her out of the orbit rather than accept any post-fight humiliation: "She'll have to deliver a career performance if she wants to beat me up! I'm no cougar like Eva Mendes and well, let's see if she can actually hit me or just jack knifes flat on her face inside the opening round instead!".

Both women are a perfect match, just half an inch of height difference and glaring at each other with utmost disdain during the introductions. Summer Glau wears a pale blue bikini top, white knickers and black gloves. Brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Meghan Markle wears a red bikini top, black knickers and red gloves. Dark brown hair in loose waves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:
Meghan wants to apply immediate pressure but lands wide off the mark as Summer hits the bendy button early and just dances her way out of Markle's reach to gain instant support from the crowd. Meghan sends furious leather but barely grazes the flesh and eats single hand response over the top as Summer takes her to the bendy school and just smacks without any trouble whatsoever and snaps the head back at will; Markle shrieks in anger over the useless nature of her efforts, gets blocked off in close range when a desperate leap forward is her last option available and Summer spikes the ribcage thereafter and still finds a clubbing uppercut straight between the arms to wobble Meghan back to the ropes at the bell looking completely puzzled after a lacklustre showing. Glau blows her a kiss and laughs back to the Medallion entourage, the school is back and Meghan's learning the bendy tricks the hard way already.

Round 2:
More happy footwork from Glau to keep the other brunette at bay and Meghan's forced to rush things early but another desperate lunge finally breaks Summer's resilience and tags her on the jaw as Markle screams out in delight and traps her foe in close range dust up on the minute mark. Thunderous right on right exchange has both heads rocking but neither girl yields an inch and Meghan slips for some ribcage assault whereas Summer clips her jugs in enforced fashion before getting wrestled over to the ropes. Markle swarms all over the bendy brunette and tries to dominate the close range as much as she can, thumps Glau's liver area but gets harpooned around the elbows herself and although Glau remains butt-in-ropes for remainder of the round she uses her experience to prevent Meghan from closing her right off and locks a late clinch leaving both women gasping in each other's ear at the bell.

Round 3:
Glau ups the agility levels but still gets caught by a clubbing right hook as Markle second guessed her movements and for once undercut the route. Another close range dust up follows, both women seem happy to settle into that kind of action but Summer outworks the fellow brunette through the minute mark and snaps her head back more efficiently forcing Meghan to seek respite midring and circle back. Glau jumps forward and regains the close range control though, leaves the other brunette sending wayward hooks and blocks her uppercuts through the middle, responds with some vicious hooks over the top and pounds Markle back to the opposite corner in the final minute where she ignores the high guard and reverts into a proper midsection punishment again to leave Meghan scowling in discomfort at the bell.

Round 4:
Markle somehow refuses to change her tactics and although she stays in the midring exchange for quite a while early in the round, she loses her accuracy down the stretch and has Glau pumping gloves into her face to enforce another escape. Summer's in durable fashion like often seen before and just leans on her slumping opponent and drills her midriff apart sinking a slowly but surely overwhelmed fellow brunette on her knees before another last-ditch lunge halts her charge and nails her on the chin cold. Meghan in haymaker fashion, manages to find that rock solid punch to spins Glau's ponytail around her neck and she clatters into her chest afterward, pushes back to the turnbuckle in a spirited all or nothing display with Summer still unable to regain her stance. For once the bendy brigade goes missing and has Summer soaking up stomach leather deep in the last minute as Meghan drives her mitts like crazy in order to clean out her foe's guts. Bell.

Round 5:
Summer looks bitterly annoyed over that previous round where Meghan caught her with a huge punch but just lacked composure and pure venom to follow it up and really dump Glau into a pile of misery. No such issues for the Medallion veteran who springs into immediate action and easily beats Markle for a clubbing hook on the mouth that spins the girl around and drops her into a proper bendy test of character. Glau with lightning quick spikes around the elbows to set up a furious series up high; Markle's jaw gets blasted a couple of times as the guard crumbles and enables Summer to pummel her back to the turnbuckle with more facial barrage. Ugh! Summer tries to rearrange some pretty brunette face and tears the skin on Markle's left cheek before closing her eyes with a single hand series on the right brow ridge. Meghan stumbles deep on her knees and can only cover up in earmuff but that doesn't stop Glau from thumping her guts instead and leave scowling at the bell again. Ominous throat slit gesture from the Medallion brunette follows as she starts to really hurt the indie fighter who doesn't seem so keen to destroy her anymore and shrugs her head for the first time tonight while ignoring Summer's evil stare.

Round 6:
There are first signs of Meghan losing her fighting spirit as she falls short of the mark early in the sixth with Summer reigning supreme in avoidance and just letting the indie brunette wear herself out in the first minute. Markle huffs herself forward but meets stubborn defence and gets nailed on the counter as Glau adds to the lumps she inflicted on her opponent before. Meghan's head snaps back repeatedly now and we're back to learning the basics the hard way as Summer dominates the close range exchange and just staggers the fellow actress in the middle of the ring soaking up unanswered punishment... Meghan tries to cover up but is left sagging and moaning her heart out as Glau drop kicks her towards the ropes in the final minute and just drills her face apart, at the bell Markle's cheeks are both cut to blood now and the right eyes displays a nasty swelling as well... the indie brunette shrugs her head again and slumps on her stool without any spark in her eye as Summer nods back to her entourage having pulled away on the scorecards well into the distance now...

Round 7:
It's as impressive as it gets from Glau but she hasn't knocked anyone out in the last 27 months and it pretty much shows since even a swollen-faced Meghan Markle is able to rise up for the seventh and still charges forward even though she'd require a single punch miracle to topple Summer tonight. She keeps swinging close around the temples but it's almost an open tease from the Medallion actress now as she succeeds in making Markle look sluggish at best and losing her feet in fruitless hassling efforts. The counterpunching is on afterwards and has Summer pumping leather into her foe's face to underline the pecking order and Meghan's really getting mauled in close range having run out of gas and just accepting the durable Glau version if the bendy one wasn't bad enough already... SUMMER WRECKS MEGHAN'S FACE... the arms drop numb for the indie brunette and she just closes her eyes as Glau lands plethora of punches in the middle of the ring to send her to the point of no return... The painful aches are almost too hard to handle for the crowd too and Summer finally delivers the mercy punch almost knocking Meghan's nose into her brains... MARKLE IS OUT ON HER FEET and simply jack knifes to her knees moments later before crashing down on her face with arms above her head... The count is spared and ref immediately raises the winner's arm in the air as the crowd goes totally nuts in full support of that whirlwind finish... KO7 Summer Glau!!!

AFTER: That's a massive statement from Summer who indicates she can knock her opposition out after all rather than just maul them into exhaustion. It was one of the key flaws in her elite prospects as she enters her mid 30s and threatens to drift away into journeywoman status unless a cure is quickly found. It's been 27 months since the last KO victory but the one she handed Meghan Markle tonight will taste even sweeter when you consider she didn't just knock the fellow brunette out, she pretty much destroyed her and left in semi-conscious state with her face massively swollen to leave visible proof of undisputed superiority. Heck, Summer didn't look so vicious since she knocked Minka Kelly out back in December 2012 and who knows, perhaps she's due another life in the spotlight after all?

While Meghan just fails to regain her whereabouts and has to be escorted back to the locker room, Summer plays along with the crowd and has to be literally pushed off the ring to make way for upcoming PPV fights. There's rarely been so much support outside title matches but that indicates Glau would be right up there fighting for Top 10 places in the fan vote contest. There's a clear demand for bendy brunettes making a lot of noise and if there's anyone feeling sour while watching this, it's Eva Mendes here inside the arena and Odette Yustman back home in front of the TV. Ugh! The Summer pounce is on...
