TESS VALMORE

HYLAND/ HEMMENS. It's a mystery to me what makes Hyland think she has a career in the FCBA. She lasted not quite four rounds before she was counted out. Now, in seven bouts she been KOed four times in the fourth and has been KOed in six of her seven bouts. How many has she won! Zip

STONE/ KUNIS. A back and forth fight early because there was no late. Stone won rounds one And three while Kunis took the second and fourth stanzas. In the fifth, Kunis landed an overhand right to Stone's chin and the fight was over with Stone being counted out

LOHAN/ CHABERT. JMD. I was down in the bar discussing the upcoming release of the Apple watch. I have no idea who won. Do I care? NO

FREGE/ PINK Surprisingly Frege got off to a good start taking three of the first four rounds. but you knew not to worry about Pink. It was going to be only a matter of time and thus it was. Pink closed the gap in the fifth, brought the bout to even in the sixth and finished the bout in the seventh when an overhand left landed flush on Frege chin and she went down for the count.

ALBA/ MENDES Mendes is 41 and hasn’t been all that active over the last couple of years. She is one of those fighters you tend to overlook even though she has a winning record. She looked a lot younger in this bout. Alba took two of the first three rounds. In the fourth, Mendes hurt Alba and sent her back to her corner in shambles. Alba didn’t recover between rounds and Mendes showed no mercy, finally sending Alba into dreamland with a brutal right cross. Management says we will see more of Mendes this year. We are interested in how a 41 year old can do in the bantams

BELLISARIO/ MAFFIA This was Maffia’s FCBA debut. It didn’t go well for her. She managed to take the second and third rounds, however Bellisario turned the fight around by charging out of her corner at the beginning of the fourth and landing a serious punch to Maffia’s stomach. Maffia managed to make it through the fourth, but not the fifth. A Bellisario uppercut ended Maffia’s dreams of a win. Bellisario KO5

MARKLE/ GLAU It’s tough in the FCBA for an independent and Markle could have really used a win in this bout. Unfortunately for her, she didn’t get it. Glau took rounds one and three and Markle rounds two and four. Glau started to pull away taking the fifth and then handing a Markle a beating in the sixth. The beating continued in the seventh, only becoming more savage until Markle finally went down and the referee didn’t even bother to count

WINSTEAD/ J.KELLY I like Kelly, but I was afraid she hadn’t been active enough especially going against a A class fighter like Winstead, who is always either in or on the verge of the top ten. Joanne did better than I expected flooring Winstead in the fourth and having a good lead at the end of five. It all came to naught in the sixth. Winstead dropped her with a right to the temple. Kelly managed to get to her feet only to be on the receiving end of uppercut that closed out the fight for Winstead.

DADDARIO/ THERON The Wiz can talk about Daddario, I will talk about Theron. I thought the “goddess” might have some gas left in her tank. I was wrong. The tank’s empty, The punch is no more. The chin is gone. The legs are useless and whats left is cannon fodder. This was one of the worst losses of her career yet can hardly be called a “huge upset” or even an upset. She has been KOed in five her last seven. She did last six until a Daddario uppercut left her out cold on the canvas. a knockout victim of a B class fighter. Have you noticed management has no comment when she loses. Are they embarrassed by her poor performances? No matter. They won’t retire her. The only way the GOAT is going get out with a semblance of a record is when the FCBA bans her from further bouts fearing serious injury
