BEFORE:

"I'm very excited to finally get a chance in the FCBA," says Jorgie with a lovely smile. "I can compete on the top level and I'm going to prove it tonight."

"She's coming in here looking to make a splash, no question about that," says Jane with a nod. "With her looks, if she can get a win or two in the FCBA, she'll get plenty of work. Unfortunately for Jorgie, the only splash she's going to make is onto her back."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside, and that's 'Skinny Love' by Birdy, and here comes the lovely Jorgie Porter, representing Kear's Kats..."

McCarthy: "And 'skinny' is a good word for her. WAY too skinny for Playboy..."

Cassie: "Truck, Mac forgot her bi-focals again. Can you have someone bring them to the table..."

McCarthy: "I did NOT...I DO NOT WEAR...SHUT UP, SCABBO!"

O'Dell(sighing): "And, we're officially underway. Jorgie into the ring, helped off with the robe to reveal a red number that doesn't leave a lot to the imagination..."

McCarthy: "Like I said, too skinny...SHUT IT, SCABBO AND YOU, TOO, WALMART!"

Tess: "What did I..."

McCarthy: "You were THINKING it!"

O'Dell(sighing): "Drink up boys and listen up to 'Pleasant Nightmare' by Alih Jey, and that can only mean that 'The Marin County Marauder', Jane Levy is on her way to the ring..."

Tess: "The Wiz is VERY high on Jane, a former college athlete with excellent power and athleticism..."

McCarthy: "Who will, no doubt, flame out completely just like the REST of Weirdo's flyweights..."

O'Dell: "Jane into the ring. Helped off with the robe to reveal that peach number we've seen in her previous fights, and the ladies are about ready. Time to get some picks. Tess favors Jane. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Hey, there, I think Jorgie Girl will win..."

Cassie: "Tess, don't worry if you don't get that reference. It's from a movie from Mac's high school days, LONG before you and I were BORN..."

McCarthy: "THAT MOVIE CAME OUT IN THE 60'S! I WAS NOT IN HIGH SCHOOL IN THE 60'S!"

Cassie: "I'd say 'college', but we all know THAT didn't happen..."

McCarthy: "YOU LITTLE..."

O'Dell: "A-HEM! Cassie, can we get a pick?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess and disagree with the Go-Go Girl..."

McCarthy: "I'M WARNING YOU..."

O'Dell: "Bell! There's the bell. Porter quickly showing movement. She wants to box here, use that athleticism she showed on 'Dancing On Ice'. The blonde showing some excellent feet here, Mac..."

McCarthy: "No question about it. She moves extremely well, and that could be a problem for Levy."

O'Dell: "Of course, as Cassie mentioned, Jane is a former college athlete, a soccer player, and she's very athletic as well. At the moment, though, it's Porter who seems to be dancing lead. She's making Jane work to get to her spots, pot-shotting jabs, snapping them out on the move."

Tess: "Levy wants to cut ring here, but, at the moment, Porter making that very, very tough to do."

O'Dell: "Indeed, she is. And Jorgie isn't just about the feet. There's plenty of hand speed in evidence. Porter getting punches out and back quickly. Able to land a nice percentage..."

Cassie: "Levy accurate, too, but Jorgie busier at the moment."

O'Dell: "That she is, and, as the final seconds tick away, Porter has to be plenty pleased with her first FCBA round. There's the bell, and Jorgie off to the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with more movement from Jorgie. Porter dacing on canvas right now. Snapping out the left, bouncing on her toes, making Levy work to get to her spots and get the hands moving. Jane working to cut and close, having some success. Banging body when she does so, before Porter can slip away to open canvas..."

Cassie: "Thing with Porter, again, is she's not just dancing around. She's getting off, committing on punches, scoring well."

O'Dell: "Levy getting more of her own offense going this round. Jane cutting the ring more and more, forcing exchanges, and heavy ones. Porter holding her own in those. Not getting backed off or throw onto the defensive..."

Tess: "And, that's clearly what Jane is aiming at right now. She wants to get the blonde on her back foot, but Porter not having any."

O'Dell: "Good, two-way stuff developing more and more as this round goes on. Porter working mainly upstairs. Levy down then up and then back down. Lots of sound boxing going on right to the bell. Good round. Close, but Porter again."

McCarthy: "20-18 now, and the pressure on Weirdo's latest 'prospect'. Doesn't want to fall in that three-point hole."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Into the third and Jorgie still making with the dance routine, but, as Cassie's pointed out, she's getting plenty done with the fists while she's doing all that moving, staying busy, getting jabs off, committing and following up with right hands."

Cassie: "And, again, Jane working very hard to bring her to battle here, cutting the ring, getting off with her own heavy leather."

O'Dell: "Porter still holding ground in those exchanges. Not allowing Jane to grab the field and toss her onto the defensive. Keeping the accurate fire going. Showing a lot of boxing ability..."

Tess: "Levy doing a very good job of dealing with this movement, as good as it's been. She's able to match footwork and cut the ring very well..."

Cassie: "Because, as we've mentioned, she's very athletic herself. But, I've got a feeling there are a lot of flyweights in the FCBA who would be having a lot more problems with Jorgie's educated feet than Levy is..."

O'Dell: "I suspect you're right, Cassandra Lynn. But, right now, the opponent IS Levy, and she's starting to find range pretty well coming down the stretch, working body, pinking up those ribs. Porter still firing back, won't go on the defensive, but Jane beginning to enforce terms at the bell. Best round of the fight for Levy..."

McCarthy: "But, she still trails 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth begins with more of that effective movement from Porter. Jorgie SNAPPING that jab into the face of Levy as Jane works to cut the ring. The redhead getting better and better at doing so as the fight goes on. She's trapping Porter and going to work body."

McCarthy: "Jorgie willing to bang in there, but these aren't the terms she wants. This is Levy's fight when they're trading like this."

O'Dell: "Porter definitely has done enough punching to get respect. Levy not teeing off in there. Careful, sound stuff from the Front Streeter. But, as Mac points out, Jane getting the better of things on these terms, and she's dictating those terms quite a lot now."

Cassie: "Levy definitely getting more and more comfortable as the fight goes on, and that's not what Porter wants her opponent to be."

O'Dell: "Jane slowing ratcheting up the pressure. Concentrating a bit more on the body this round. Banging those ribs and thumping the midsection. Porter staying upstairs, working hard to back Levy up, but Jane not having it, staying right on Jorjie right to the bell. Levy's round."

Tess: "And that evens things at 38 with six to go."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "We move into round five and Levy again working to pressure, cutting off Porter, slowing down all that movement and bringing her to battle. Jorgie quickly tying up now, trapping Levy's arms, forcing the referee to break the pair."

McCarthy: "This might not be a bad idea, since Porter's in charge on the outside."

O'Dell: "Jorgie bouncing, snapping that hard left, landing a good right off it. Jane again working the feet, cutting the ring, going to work on the body, but Porter tying up again. Levy trying to shove her off, but Jorgie holding on and forcing that break..."

Cassie: "This is a nice adjustment by Porter. As we've talked about, this is her FCBA debut, but she has lots of ring experience in the BBU. She's been in situations like this before and knows how to handle them."

O'Dell: "Levy still working hard, doesn't appear to be getting frustrated by this, but Porter's taking her out of her game in this round just like Jane took Jorgie out of hers in the last one. Fighters tied up inside again. Levy banging flank with her free hand until the ref breaks them and Jorgie gets back to bouncing and jabbing. Porter a good combination. Levy steps forward, the blonde ties her up, and there's the bell. Porter's round."

Tess: "And she's back in front, 48-47."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "We begin the sixth with some more dancing on canvas from Jorgie. Porter in some serious shape, ladies. Five rounds gone, and she's not slowed a bit..."

McCarthy: "Definitely hasn't. Every bit as quick on her feet right now as she was at the opening bell."

O'Dell: "Levy continuing to pressure, cutting the ring, working the body, getting tied up. Jane trying to punch free now, but Jorgie going to force that break. Referee breaks them clean and Porter back to open canvas. Jorgie working the jab, dropping the right. Levy cuts, closes, bangs body...AND DROPS PORTER WITH A RIGHT HOOK!"

Cassie: "Got her to bend down just a bit with that left to the body...bent her right into the hook!"

O'Dell: "Porter knocked to her right side, rolls to her back at three. Four. Five. Six. Seven. Sits up at eight. Nine. Not going to get there. TEN! It's over! Porter still sitting as the count passes her by, and your winner by KO6 is 'The Marin County Marauder', Jane Levy!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Jane Levy, and, Jane, close fight but you ended it with one punch..."

Jane: "She's a good boxer, and I knew that coming in. And she can move. Very athletic. Fortunately, I was able to get her cut off, because there's no percentage in chasing her around. She'll pick you apart. I knew if I could close and make her exchange with me I'd have a chance to get her. And I got her."

Tess: "So far, so good for you. You have to be pleased..."

Jane(shaking her head): "I'm not pleased and I'm not satisfied. I have a lot of work to do to get good enough to get where I want to go, which is to the top of this division. And, I'm going to get right back to work tomorrow."
