ORDER OF MERIT ROUND - THE FINAL

BEFORE: The Welterweight Revival finale attracts a lot of attention around Caesars Palace arena and all the Order Of Merit round winners, Karen Gillan, Jodi Lyn O'Keefe and Paula Patton are seated near the ring to witness the main showpiece featuring former divisional champion Sarah Lancaster and the BBU's most buxom blonde of 'em all, Gemma Atkinson. Both women caused a huge upset in the semi-finals and are just one step away from securing a much needed return to the mainstream spotlight just days ahead of a proper clash of titans between Amanda Righetti and reigning unified champion Bridget Regan.

In the days when Philadelphia based Front Street outfit announced a major retreat from the heaviest SSB division depriving all welterweight fans from seeing Daniela Ruah, Katy Perry and Brooklyn Decker mix it with the likes of Cassidy Freeman, Gena Lee Nolin and Kate Upton the chance of making great strides into the Top 10 ranking place is in fact much bigger than when the Revival idea was first announced.

Sarah Lancaster says: "Of course it's a shame I can't target the likes of Ruah and Decker anymore but this decision only means tawdry cougars like Nolin, Bell and Jeri Ryan will remain relevant for just a little bit longer. And I can only profit from that myself too! There's a strage feeling among the managers only truly experienced 30+ fighters can actually do something among the big weights and well, Kate Upton is the sole exception. But that puts us above all those Disney & CW brats who think they own the frickin' world! We're first class and they're mere attention seeking impostors flashing their skimpy outfits left, right and center!"

While Lancaster focuses on the big picture, Gemma prefers to stick to her own prospects and vows to "beat the old hack senseless" having displayed a huge durability test against Megan Gale nearly a month ago that left many pundits gobsmacked. The talk is the welterweights are ready to taste JMD action courtesy of The Academy plans and the English lingerie model doesn't shy away from booking a date against Cat Bell and Jeri Ryan whatsoever herself.

Gemma Atkinson wears a beige bikini set with lacy black trim and black gloves. Shoulder lenght blonde hair straight. Sarah Lancaster wears a red & black stripped bikini set and red gloves. Dark brown hair tied in fancy pigtails. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Both women settle in mid distance at first and are happy to trade weak punches from behind the guard without much aggression. Sarah seems more agile of the two and tries to ignite some place into the action down the stretch but fails to bother the blonde's guard and allows Gemma to fire away unbothered however it's getting clear neither of these two is willing to charge at her rival without a back-up plan having gone this far in the tournament. Atkinson's been known for losing her temper in a hurry yet she's surprisingly disciplined in the opening round and Lancaster doesn't mind this slow start either.

Round 2:
More of the same in the second, both women punch & weave around the ring without clear mean intentions even though Sarah throws twice as much punches and seems more keen to finally let it rip one way or another. Gemma remains covered behind a tight guard though and her attempts to close the range down are shut off by the brunette's superior movement. A couple of heavy swings go wayward but Sarah still digs a single hand into the blonde's balloons yet she holds back from a swift follow up and seems happy to see the English girl's hectic escape from further rack punishment. The teasing continues until the bell with neither woman able to mount a serious charge thus far.

Round 3:
Lancaster finally jumps into a jabbing frenzy and takes immediate advantage as Gemma misses the overhand counter and sags on her heels when the older girl ravages her rack from close range. Sarah works the uppercut assault but clips the chin as well and suddenly the tight English guard doesn't look so solid anymore as Gemma's forced into defensive circles. She fails in her escape though as Sarah's the quicker of the two and has to soak up more facial jabbing with the ex-champ working the high drill. Atkinson is pummelled back to the ropes and bounces off the guard herself in a futile effort to tame the American's charge. Sarah switches back on the chest thereafter and rocks the blonde's mounds from each side finding it all too easy to slice between the arms leaving the blonde hopeful yelping at the bell in discomfort.

Round 4:
Sarah takes more advantage from her superior agility and pounds Gemma's boobs in close range again before switching high on the face and landing crisp jabs on the cheeks. Atkinson's head sways back & forth and the big breasted model just can't stretch her elbows whatsoever here allowing Lancaster to score further success and lumping her up come the second minute already. Methodical display from the US actress who dismantles the guard in close range before driving more uppercuts against the jaw and trembling the blonde back to the ropes afterwards. Gemma tries to respond from the back foot but only grazes the forearms and falls into a rampant jabbing series that makes her squeal in pain and has Lancaster thumping her cheeks into reddish color before the bell halts the one-sides beating.

Round 5:
Atkinson looks genuinely shocked by the rough treatment so far however she doesn't have the pace to match Lancaster's approach and can only revert into a frantic attack almost hoping for a single punch to change her fortunes around. Sarah sports a cheeky smile ahead of the fifth but then gets caught with a sky high hook that actually finds her temple after the dancing routine comes up short and gives the blonde the striking range she needed. Another big right hand slams Lancaster on the nose and for the first time the brunette rocks back on her heels and allows Atkinson to pulverize her ribcage and shove her back to the ropes amid wild screams from the Las Vegas audience. On comes Gemma ripping leather into the brunette's body and Sarah can only clinch herself out of trouble briefly but remains trapped on the ropes and endures more piercing jabs crashing into her ribs thereafter. Gemma storms back into this contest and bumps Lancaster off with her overzealous rack at the bell, tries to scythe her down with a late cross hook and is fortunate enough to get away with only a warning!

Round 6:
Gemma's finally in her groove and leaps at the brunette like there's no tomorrow and beats her for an overhand hook that finds the nose and spins Sarah to the side with a loud yelp. Hectic brawling follows where Atkinson finally unloads some raw power to keep the US girl on her toes but largely in avoidance circles. The mid distance assault works much better and Gemma overwhelms her foe in sheer punching numbers, clips the temples a few times and settles into a proper body attack come the final minute when Lancaster visibly slows down and seeks a clinching respite. It's to no avail though as Atkinson shoves her into the corner and thumps several jabs on the liver area and Sarah's response can only find the kidneys and earns her a warning instead. Still, Gemma keeps her trapped in the corner and dismantles the guard with a heavy left/right combo that drops the mitts alltogether and gives Lancaster a really bad cut under the left eye seconds before the clock expires.

Round 7:
The speed and agility alone aren't good enough for Lancaster anymore and she accepts the hectic brawling tactics early in the seventh which results in both women trading brutal punches Jenny McCarthy and Kate Beckinsale would be proud of! Gemma tries to add further cuts on the brunette's face and drops the body assault but this is where Sarah suddenly finds her niche and despite reddening the blonde's cheeks she dekes to the side and crashes into the liver area to finally break Atkinson's resilience... GEMMA'S HURT... she bends to the side and lowers her left arm to protect the aching guts only to meet a crashing hook blasting her lips into instant swelling... On comes Lancaster slicing the leaky guard and thumping the model's head back & forth and dumping her onto the ropes in no time... Gemma tries to raise her arms but is butchered along the ropes now with Lancaster drilling her cheeks into more lumps and even the crowd is worried by all the moaning from the English blonde... bell eventually halts Sarah's charge but she's put a massive dent in her foe's defence and Atkinson almost spits out her guts while trying to regain her breath; she takes her time before walking back to her corner however it's clear she was realy hurt by that massive assault.

Round 8:
There's no stopping Lancaster now who resumes the facial punishment and renders Atkinson into a dummy punchbag in the middle of the ring slicing & dicing through the weakened guard; Gemma tries to make something happen but is woefully slow in execution and has her head snapped around into more yelping struggle as Sarah painstakingly dissects her flesh... it doesn't take long before the English model is dumped into the ropes again and just as she manages to cover up, Lancaster switches on the guts again and harpoons her around the elbows to punish the liver area once again.. Gemma sinks on jelly knees and can't find a single punch to bother the rowdy brunette anymore, gets wrenched to the right side when the ribcage pounding becomes too hot to handle and eats an uppercut series on the boobs to finally deprive her of any defence... the arms go numb and the eyes close too as Sarah riffles a left hand on the ear and sends Gemma out of the orbit with a piledriver on the mouth moments later... BLONDE GOES DOWN... Atkinson slides on her side and remains a wrecked mess with eyes closed, her right arm collapses against the boobs and she does nothing to beat the count... It's all over and your Welterweight Revival winner... KO8 Sarah Lancaster!!!

AFTER: Huge ovation for the victorious brunette who finally lets all the emotions out and screams around the ring while pumping herself across the chest. There's no denying that a third win on the spin has just elevated Sarah back into some serious divisional contention again! "That's right! People will remember I once went toe to toe with Amanda Righetti!", she says to the audience after grabbing the announcer's mic, "I'm alive and kicking and I really need to thank Gemma for putting such a great show tonight! The better it was when she hit the deck with eyes closed and I see they're still trying to revive her! (laughs) Bad luck, girl. Since I whooped Paula Patton who in turn destroyed Megan Gale it's safe to say my previous victory was even more impressive! Ain't that right, Paula?", she gestures to the fellow actress sitting in the VIP seats who doesn't look all that pleased despite coming third on the Order of Merit. "Nevermind that though! Gemma said she wants to have a shot at Cat Bell's and Jeri Ryan's cleavage which is impressive alright but I've got some plans too. There's little chance Amanda Righetti or Bridget Regan include me in their summer plans but I can always stalk the Goddess herself! I think I'm due some really household names again and the SSB hasn't heard the last of me!"

The tournament coverage concludes with Sarah being presented a golden gloves trophy carved into a boxing ring plate and posing for the cameras with Gemma Atkinson - whose eyes still remain gloomy - and Paula Patton, the third place finisher. Both Sarah and Paula exchange further words and it's rather obvious Patton would like to get a revenge on the former champion sooner rather than later but if Lancaster's plans materialise, she'd be back into Top 10 contention instead and perhaps looking at a title shot which really doesn't seem so far away anymore!

Final result: Sarah Lancaster def. Gemma Atkinson KO8.
