TENNIS BOXING FROM ROLAND GARROS

Posted by Vassago on June 7, 2015, 3:43 pm

Venue: Stade Roland Garros, Court Philippe Chartier.
Location: 16th Municipal Division of Paris, France.

{{{ Based on a real-life tennis match from the second round of the French Open 05/28/15. }}}

BEFORE: Julia Goerges' career never really took off ever since she's beaten then world #1 Caroline Wozniacki in the 2011 Porsche Open final but the German fighter believes she can find her mojo again against a familiar Danish rival who hasn't seen her best days after a high profile split from Rory McIlroy last year. However Wozniacki can fully focus on her performance now that she's single again (a far cry from her Sports Illustrated photo sessions in the winter) and threatens to wipe the canvas with Goerges to prove that she's back among the elite for good and can be as mean and vicious as she was four years ago. Goerges obviously thinks otherwise and vows to "beat the blonde bimbo up", pouring nothing but leather & clay on Wozniacki today despite the betting odds stacked against her.

Julia Goerges wears a yellow bikini top, black knickers and yellow gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a braid. Caroline Wozniacki wears a white bikini top, yellow knickers and white gloves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the welterweight division.

Round 1:
Wozniacki prefers the counterpunching tactics and invites the ultra aggressive Goerges into the early swings that fall short of the mark though and trigger the swift reply as the Dane riffles over the top and begins to snap the dark braid around well into the second minute of the bout. Julia's guard isn't known for it's defiance either and the German has to revert into some quick feet to escape the heat but Wozniacki pours the steady attack and dominates the action having weathered the early attacks that were pretty dismal in first place. She can't quite pin Julia to the ropes though and spends the remainder of the round chasing the brunette around the ring; does enough to satisfy the judges but hurts Goerges very little in the proccess.

Round 2:
Julia ignites more speed into her attacks and starts to pick the blonde off in mid distance; Caroline brawls herself out of trouble by slipping low for some ribcage assault and bumps the brunette off her comfort zone with a couple of piercing hooks on the rack. Several tennis players have grown jealous of Julia's chest and always try to punish the area however Wozniacki's defensive tactics gets the better of her and she drops the cruel idea and prefers to shove the German onto the ropes where she can spike the midsection as Goerges desperately wants to break free but doesn't receive any help from the referee and has to push herself off against an equally strong opponent. Wozniacki keeps sticking her mitts in the breadbasket and makes Julia lose her temper, a clubbing hook still catches the blonde on the jaw and Goerges does escape the lock in the dying seconds but has no time for any attack of her own anymore.

Round 3:
Goerges beats the blonde for an overhand hook and snaps the braid around the neck before driving up the middle and catching Caroline with a brutal uppercut on the jaw that slumps the guard against the waist on the spot. Julia fires away on the face and stuns Wozniacki in the middle of the ring with a flurry of punches before the Dane can jump to the side albeit too slow to avoid a looming onslaught. Goerges keeps firing from both sides and head hunts the former world #1 with more accurate shots that prove too much for the guard and send Caroline onto the ropes in pure avoidance, the counterpunching is nowhere to be seen and Julia keeps her trapped in the corner for the entire third minute lashing out between the vulnerable gloves and snapping the blonde's head back & forth to shock the Paris crowd and many WTA experts!

Round 4:
Julia's really confident she can punish the Dane now and jumps into another jabbing frenzy that Caroline fails to embrace through her defensive mindset. It's the sheer ammount of punches and the supreme precision that causes all the trouble for the blonde girl who can't live with the fast pace and struggles to pick the holes off because there just aren't any at this stage. Slugging effort from Julia sends Caroline into desperate circles but the front foot assault brings more joy down the stretch as she digs her gloves into the blonde's cheeks and leaves Wozniacki with first noteworthy bruises come the bell. It's an anonymous showing from the favorite who looked promising early on but needs to make some moves now as Julia's far from wearing out and doesn't seem scared at all too. Wozniacki's in a hole after four and Goerges knows it as she gives the blonde a really mean stare before heading back to her corner.

Round 5:
Some improvements from the Dane who matches the German's agility and quick movement around the ring; a few missed shots make Goerges upset and even as she tries to up her tempo, Wozniacki blocks her off and sends overhand counter that finally snaps the dark braid around again. Julia's not afraid to mix it though and accepts the close range dust up, both girls trade facial leather and refuse to yield an inch before Goerges switches on the body and catches the blonde unprepared. A series of looping harpoons reels Wozniacki backwards and resumes the German hassling play; duck & weave tactics enable Caroline to hang on until the bell but she looks really annoyed at the bell as Julia still shows no signs of gassing out and where oh where is the jug assault from the Dane?

Round 6:
Wozniacki finally finds the brunette's boobs and if she's ever gonna wear her out, that's the right spot to pounce. Julia gets clipped on the chin and wobbles in the early seconds of the round; before she can regain her focus, Caroline sticks it into the cleavage and rips a series of uppercuts to finally move on the offensive and send the German on her heels and firing single shots from behind the guard. However Julia needs to adjust her position and lets one on the liver through as Wozniacki leans on her and shoves her onto the ropes with a rush of aggression. Goerges mises the high response and eats more uppercuts on the mounds; she begins to gasp in discomfort and that only fuels the blonde's determination. She lands more crisp shots on the rack but that's only the first real step to turn the tide on the German who manages to lock a late clinch on the Dane and prevent further punishment in an otherwise one-sided round.

Round 7:
Wozniacki looks to resume the jug assault, the most obvious tactics usually works the best and many people in the stands wonder why it took the blonde so long to put Goerges under real trouble. However Julia picks up the ultra aggressive stance herself and blasts a right handed cross on the nose to halt the Dane's rack assault and adds a left hook on the temple to spin Caroline back against the ropes. Wozniacki barks in anger and for once doesn't escape into a defensive stride and jumps right at the brunette who flies in with a crushing right hand on the jaw first... Ugh!!! And there goes the blonde's mouth guard flying right off... AND WOZNIACKI IS DOWN with eyes closed.... a heavy punch just knocked her sideways across the canvas after Julia really let one go here... it's a slow count but still the Dane has trouble to handle it... she's up at eight but looking woozy and hollow in her eyes... Goerges barks in delight in the opposite corner and gets another opportunity to send Caroline into more misery... she leaps at the shaken blonde and riffles through her mitts, backing her into the ropes and slamming unanswered leather against the cheeks that become all busted up come the bell and flash pink & dark patches all across the pretty face.... Wozniacki's battered into a standstill and doesn't look aware of what's happening as she slumps onto her stool like a sack of potatoes and Julia twirls around with both gloves pounding her thighs in utmost delight! The fat lady is about sing loud & clear in Paris!

Round 8:
Caroline hasn't recovered from that knockdown and subsequent flurry but refuses to quit on her stool; Julia makes her pay for that bold & honorable decision as she sticks her mitts into the blonde's face without much resistance and rocks the braid back & forth until Wozniacki just closes her eyes and sinks on jelly knees with her arms going all numb... Ref notices this ain't going nowhere but he's just a fraction late and fails to prevent Goerges from landing a monster right hook on the ear THAT SENDS CAROLINE CRASHING DOWN ON HER SIDE and effectively knocked half-conscious to complete a resounding German success! KO8 Julia Goerges!!!

AFTER: That's a real shocker for every WTA fan as Julia Goerges rolls back some years - four to be exact - and knocks the former undisputed leader of the rankings stoned cold here in Paris tonight! The compulsory clay pouring follows and Julia has a whole bucket ready to pour in onto the collapsed Wozniacki's face before she's wrestled away by the security crew! What a day for the 26 year old who struggled very badly over the last few seasons but perhaps has found her groove in 2015 again as knocking Caroline Wozniacki senseless always gives you a kick up the rankings! It's the upset of the year thus far and the buxom brunette has every right to celebrate this success!

Meanwhile it's a horrible experience for the blonde who never really took off and struggled to even punish Julia's breasts, one of the most obvious targets in tennis boxing competition! The whole tactics for today's match was ill-advised and the mediocre execution didn't have to anything to do with the eventual demise. One has to punish Goerges from the start and waiting for her physical collapse was as naive as it gets among the pros. Wozniacki's experienced enough to know that so the WTA experts & fans can only scratch their heads over this complete Danish ineptitude... See ya all in Wimbledon next month!

Final result: Julia Goerges def. Caroline Wozniacki KO8.
