BEFORE: Both these lightweights have been really ineffective since joining BBU; Foxifre Atlantic's Laury Thilleman remains in deep shadow of fellow Miss France pageant winner Malika Menard in terms of exposure and success while Micaela Schaefer is yet to even win a fight almost three years after making her debut. The local French support technically should give Laury the edge but the buxom brunette vows to beat her up and humiliate by ripping her topless after the fight instead!
Laury Thilleman wears a pink bikini and white gloves. Dark blonde tied in a sleek ponytail. Micaela Schaefer wears a white bikini top, black hip-huggers and golden gloves. Raven black hair loose, curled at the bottom. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Round 1:
Both women trade immediate leather and it's obvious Micaela doesn't mind pouncing on the local favorite as she rips into the blonde's face with heavier punches and makes Laury wince within seconds of the bell already. More German clubbing follows and this catches Thilleman deep on her heels and unable to break free from the onslaught. The crowd didn't expect such a Schaefer storm either and it only gets worse when the brunette pounds the pageant back to the ropes down the stretch and starts ripping into her tummy too. Laury has to clinch the lingerie model but moans badly come the final minute as Micaela gives her a proper gut check and signs off with a good uppercut on the chin to silence the audience for good.
Round 2:
More heavy slugging from the German who pummels over the top and snaps the blonde ponytail back & forth leaving Thilleman with more aches. This is a far cry from the blonde's epic win over Manuela Arcuri and Schaefer maintains the rout bumping the lacklustre opponent on her heels and drilling the guts repeatedly to the point Laury has to clinch her but gets whacked across the lips instead and wobbles down to the corner. She doesn't even raise her arms in time as Micaela crashes into her face again and smacks on the nose with a left/right combo... BLONDE GIRL DOWN... Laury just ragdolls to her knees in the corner and the German screams out in joy making some gestures to the crowd as well. Ref gives Thilleman a short respite with a late count and the French pageant looks all lost here when she's up at seven. She leans against the ropes teasing another onslaught and sure enough, here comes Schaefer ripping into the face and leaving several bruises with the blonde ponytail snapping vividly all over the place... Thilleman sags on her knees looking extremely vulnerable before Schaefer cuts her up across the nasal ridge and lands another uppercut on the jaw THAT SENDS THE LOCAL GIRL DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE with a couple of seconds remaining. Bell spares Laury the count but Schaefer believes she's won this already as she pumps herself against the chest and signals she's just moments away from her maiden BBU victory!
Round 3:
Laury's slow to get up and looks in bad shape with the cut across the nose underlining all her troubles in what becomes a terrible opening to the Cannes showpiece. Schaefer simply charges at her and aims at the head but misjudges her approach as the blonde ducks underneath and rips into the brunette's guts instead suddenly firing away in frantic fashion and reeling the model back. Schaefer looks upset over the attempted comeback and swings up high but misses the target and falls into more midsection assault as Thilleman pounds her back to center of the ring and riffles a heavy uppercut to make the German moan for the first time tonight. Still, Micaela wants to finish the job and leaps at the pageant beauty only to suffer from a clubbing hook bursting her nostrils and sagging forward instead. Thilleman works a late attack on the ribcage and spikes the German around the elbows; Micaela almost goes down on her face desperately trying to regain her balance and when she lifts her head up she gets slammed by another vicious uppercut AND HITS THE DECK FLAT ON HER BACK just as the clock expires sparing her a devastating count... She sits up and looks completely shocked for most part of the interval while Laury plays along with the crowd and indicates she's somehow back in this fight against all the odds!
Round 4:
Schaefer tries to resume the pounce but Thilleman stands tall and ups the tempo of her attacks; it's like those two knockdowns never happened as she pummels through the brunette's guard and spikes her on the nose to inflict more German yelps. Micaela loses her precision and fails to match the new found French intensity; has to leap away to safety but still gets caught by a wild hook and wobbles with her arms dropped. Laury forges ahead with a quick snap and tears into the brunette's face pushing her all the way to the opposite corner where she gives the ribcage another test. Schaefer has to clinch the blonde to catch a respite but is wrenched on the liver area after Thilleman shoves her against the turnbuckle and maintains the gut checking display. Loud yelps from the model mark the final minute of this round and Micaela doesn't have the strenght in her to break free anymore as the blonde routs her really badly and leaves with pale patches all across the otherwise taned ribcage. Schaefer's in a lot of trouble now but the Cannes audience loves it!
Round 5:
Micaela's energy supply is gone and she falls into another tummy barrage seconds into the fifth as Laury leans on her and almost headbutts in the proccess; the blonde is keen to blow the brunette to bits and inflicts painful screams from the lingerie model who struggles to embrace Thilleman pounding away at her guts. She lowers the guard too much in a desperate attempt to protect herself and gets smacked on the chin by a vicious uppercut combo that shuts her eyes and sags down on the heels. Laury blasts one last hook on the nose and DUMPS THE BRUNETTE SIDEWAYS ACROSS THE CANVAS moments later... Ugh! The crowd roars in delight and Laury smiles back to the Foxfire Atlantic corner as Schaefer only sits up on her heels at six and makes a late lunge forward at nine looking very dizzy and unaware of reality. She's up just as the ref calls it ten and waves to him to let her back out there but a quick stumble sends her straight into his embrace and out of this fight! Cue in more French delight! TKO5 Laury Thilleman!!!
AFTER: It's just the start the Cannes audience wanted before Malika Menard enters the ring next but Laury Thilleman must consider herself very lucky indeed she stopped the German lingerie model. She was nowhere in this fight after two rounds and looked set to be pounded into stupor but Schaefer just couldn't put the icing on the cake.
Speaking of which, it was an improved performance from one of the best looking lightweights in the business but it's no coincidence her record is so dismal. She let Thilleman off the hook big time and fumbled a golden chance to take the scalp of Foxfire Atlantic Boxing which comes at a premium in BBU! Still, there are rumours she's signed up for a fight against Holly Peers next month as the PageThrees stable plans a major announcement really soon to spice up the lingerie model stock.
Final result: Laury Thilleman def. Micaela Schaefer TKO5.
