Before: "Have you seen Carrie's record?" Jessica Simpson asks pre-fight, "Because it ain't much. I get it, she's a pretty little blonde, but really how does she keep getting new management contracts? Whoever is in control of this Gemini Club or whatever doesn't know what they're doing. Obviously."

Carrie stands up and poses for the press, saying "Yeah, I'm a pretty little blonde it's true. Smokin', in fact. And when I smoke this no-talent has been maybe she'll understand why I get offered contracts."

Both women are wearing bikini's - Jessica's black and white, Carrie's green. Both wear their blonde hair loose about their shoulders.

Round One: Flyweights coming out hot, both using footwork and quick punches to test each other. Jessica grins just a bit and winks at Carrie, just before nailing Underwood with a left-right combination to the face. Carrie recovers quickly and manages to connect a jab to Jessica's chest. She then throws a right which Simpson is able to duck, and then returns a few powerful shots to Carrie's body. Underwood backing up now, Jessica keeping the pressure on. Carrie manages to connect another couple fast blows just before the bell rings, but it's Jessica's by a close margin.

Round Two: Footwork abounds again this round, both trying to keep the other guessing. Simpson nails Carrie's pretty face a couple times, with Underwood able to reply with her own pounding of Jessica's stomach and chest. Carrie advances and takes another left to her face, but she's able to shrug it off and nail Simpson in the nose. Jessica hopping back, beckoning with her right glove for Underwood to pursue. Carrie obliges and sidesteps Jessica's left and connect a strong right to Simpon's face. Shaking her head, Jessica backs off and lays off the taunting. The round ends with Carrie taking it on points.

Round Three: Carrie still keeping up the footwork, with Jessica walking straight into her opponent. Underwood manages to anticpate a few blows, but she takes a few to her body whilst returning the favor and hurting up Simpson with a couple kidney shots. Jessica clips Carrie clean with an uppercut which causes the country singer stumble. Jessica moves in and delivers a nice combination of blows to Underwood's body and chest as Carrie continues to retreat. Now at a neutral corner, Carrie decides she can no longer retreat and eats a few more blows as she begins to go on the offensive. She manages to knock Jessica's head around a bit, but she's not giving any more than she's taking. The bell rings and it's Simpson's.

Round Four: Neither fighter looking to play defense, they meet quickly and the real match begins. They're exchanging blows, but it's not long before Carrie's head snaps back hard from a powerful Simpson right. Jessica continues on as Carrie's offense dies down. Simpson really taking it to her, pounding her face and chest. The ref steps in, Jessica shaking her head with annoyance at the interruption as Carrie nods the OK for the fight to continue. The ref steps back and things continue much as before - though Underwood is able to keep it together a little better, she's still effectively acting as a living punching bag for Jessica. At the end of it, it's clear Simpson dominated.

Round Five: Carrie is on her stool getting a cut above her right cheek taken care of. Jessica is staring across the ring directly in her opponent's eyes. She smells blood and intends to end the round. The bell rings and Simpson is going in hot. Carrie isn't backing down - she knows she has to make a stand or be defeated. They meet in the center, Jessica pounds a nice combo on Carrie's body, Underwood absorbing the blows before trying to mount a counter attack. Jessica comes up with an uppercut, but Carrie sways back - the blow missing completely - and Carrie responds with a hefty right to Simpson's jaw. Jessica's head snaps back, but she's still going - throwing a couple of jabs which Carrie is able to block or dodge, then reply with her own, connecting a few more to Jessica's stomach and chest. The round ends with Carrie getting another close win.

Round Six: There's a ding and they're at it again. Jessica fires off a couple quick, successive punches, Carrie bobs & weaves and comes up clean. She retorts with her own combination of six punches, knocking Jessica around like a rag doll. Simpson retreating now and Carrie on the offensive, the country singer continuing to deliver a hail of bullets to her opponent. Simpson tries to respond, but Underwood is quick on her feet and can't be touched. Jessica is takin' a lickin' but keeps on tickin', taking her hits like a pro. Carrie wins the round by a wide margin, but Jessica isn't giving up.

Round Seven: Meeting at the center, Carrie is trying to reestablish the dominace she showed in the previous round. Jessica putting in equal effort to overturn Underwood's momentum - using her legs to steer clear of Carrie's quick combinations. Dodging, Jessica plants a few nice jabs to Carrie's face - Carrie responding with a couple of her own, but Simpson seems to be a little more with it this round as she sways back and forth; Underwood unable to land the kind of hits she'd like. It's real boxing right now, as both fighters get technical and tactical. Just a few seconds before the bell rings, Simpson manages to nail Underwood with a few solid lefts to the face. It's Jessica's round - she really seemed to outwork her opponent.

Round Eight: Jumping off their stools, it's round seven part two. Lots of movement and a lot of dancing. Neither fighter ready to stand in for a total slugfest right now - both looking to simply outbox the other. A minute in Carrie manages to feint a left - Jessica falls for it and sways her head right into an incoming right hook. It slams into her jaw and she wobbles for a moment. Carrie delivers a jab to her mouth and Jessica falls to her knees. The count has begun and Simpson struggles to stand - at five her right foot is planted on the canvas - at eight it's both feet, and at nine she's standing erect with her gloves up. Underwood isn't willing to let the opportunity for her weakened opponent to last another round, so she acts quickly, focusing on Simpon's chest and stomach. Jessica is backing up, but soon she's against the ropes! Carrie is pounding away at her face now, it's a free for all! Simpson's hands are down as she takes blow after blow until the ref steps in. It's Carrie Underwood, TKO8!

After: Carrie jumping up and down, Jessica fuming that the fight was called. The press gets up to the ring and puts their microphones to Carrie's face, she says, "That was a real blast! What a good time that fight was. Mmm, can't wait for my next one. I'm gonna be on a roll now!"

Jessica exiting the ring quickly, she finally speaks to a reporter in the locker room. "That fight getting called off is bull. I put my hands down for a second and that's it? Are those the FCBA rules now?" A tough loss for Simpson, to be sure.
