Sarah: Foxfire Boxing, 34 YO, 5’4 ½, 52-29-5 (30 KO) since 2003
Nina: Lookout Boxing, 26 YO; 5’6 ½, 22-18-1 (14 KO) since 2010

Before: Nina Dobrev in one of her more “impish” (some way say “irritating’) moods is constantly needling Sarah Carter in the pre-fight.

“I know Sarah likes to think of herself as the ‘Ice Queen’ but what fan really likes someone who is rude, stuck-up and down-right nasty. It’s a good thing the fans will have the ‘Belle of Bulgaria’ to watch. Everyone knows what an exciting, fiery fighter I can be. I’ll have the ‘Ice Queen’ melted down into a puddle on the canvas, just ready to be mopped up and rinsed from the ring. So don’t worry about being bored at the prospect of watching another boring Sarah Carter fight—you’ll have ‘Dynamite Dobrev’ to cheer for!”

Sarah putting up with most of Nina antics in disdainful silence, but once she gets to the podium she finally erupts: “I have had enough of ‘Noisy Nina’ and I know the real boxing fans are, too. She is a clown act of a boxer. Just seeing how much she can distract an opponent. No wonder she is fit in so well at Lookout Boxing, they are all like that over there. Well, since this is the first time Dobrev and have fought, I am not surprised the ‘Blunder from Bulgaria’ thinks she can beat me. She may be a little taller than me, but I am fighting in my prime and I’ll cut her down as I have others before. I hope I knock her out cold. Then we won’t have to listen to her constant yapping!”

“Love you, too, Sarah,” Nina purrs blowing Sarah a derisive kiss.

Sarah glares at the smirking brunette: “Well, I don’t love you, Nina!”

“A pity, I’ll bet you’re a hot kisser,” Nina says with a devilish smile that brings on gasps and then gales of laughter

Sarah goes red in the face at this unexpected ploy., She stomps towards Nina, who jumps up ready to defend herself, but Beth Harnois, Foxfire’s communications director swiftly interposes herself.

“Come on, Sarah,” Beth says, “don’t give her the headlines she wants.”

Sarah clenching her fists: “You are so going to regret that.”

“What?” Nina replies innocently. “You’re not a hot kisser? Oh, how disappointing!”

Sarah lets still glaring says: “Well, YOU are never going to find out, Dobrev. Never—ever!”

“I am crushed,” Nina mocks.

“Shut up, Nina! You are turning this into a circus!” Beth hisses.

“Well, then get that clown off the stage,” Nina says as Beth struggles to contain the raging Sarah Carter. “On second thought, I’ll leave now, you can calm Sarah down before she makes an even bigger fool of herself than she already has. See you soon ‘Hot Lips’!”

Sarah makes a wild lunge, but Nina skips away looking very pleased with herself. Beth Harnois finally able to steer Sarah off the stage through then opposite exit. The press couldn’t be happier about all this and quickly spread the word to a fascinated public.

Sarah Carter still fuming on fight night. She comes to the ring in a fiery red bikini, black gloves and boots. Hair in a tight battle braid down her back. Nina in a purple bikini with golden gloves and black boots with gold lacings. Nina’s dark hair piled up on her head.

R1: Sarah Carter at her cold, relentless best this round. She goes straight for Nina, duels briefly to knock down her defenses just long enough to fire some leather straight into the brunette’s face. Nina stepping back trying to guard her face but she’s already got a big red lump on the bridge of her nose and cut upper lip. Sarah moving around her quarry works Nina’s waistline with stronger and stronger punches to force down her guard. Once this happens up comes Sarah’s gloves to clout the Bulgarian beauty’s jaw and sweep a right up into her nose, this time drawing a trickle of blood. Nina tries to pull out of range but she is harried around the ring by seemingly unstoppable blonde. Nina finally gets her jab going to make Sarah back off late in the round, but the round is a clear win for the Foxfire flyweight.

R2: Sarah may have been slowed by Nina’s late developing jab in the previous, but it doesn’t make her back off as this stanza gets under way. She goes straight for Nina, first going back to that midsection, but Nina’s ready this time and uses that jab to carve up Sarah’s face. Suddenly she’s the one with the bloody nose and a nasty cut over her left eye. Sarah seems surprised at this resistance and it slows her response. Nina not about to give her time to think it over, she is churning hooks into Sarah’s belly and then working her way up to pound Sarah’s perky breasts. Sarah looking confused and not hitting back effectively. Nina showing her relentless side in backing the blonde up to the ropes and pounding her from belly to breast to eyebrow as Sarah always she’s late with her protective gloves. Still, the tough blonde veteran shows no signs of going down, but she’s seriously banged up as the bell rings. Nina Dobrev taking this one wide.

R3: Frantic work in the Foxfire corner to get Sarah in sufficient shape to continue the fight. Sarah seems to have shaken off her R2 confusion and is confronting Nina right from the start. Rapid-fire punching at mid-ring as the two circle around each other and blaze away. Not wild punching from either of them, controlled, well-aimed and they are making each other feel the weight of leather crashing home. Teeth gritting mouthpieces and glaring eyes as they battle for control. Very even until Sarah slips an uppercut under Nina’s guard to give her chin a heavy hit. Nina shuddering as her head is thrown back and body is wide open. Nina’s belly and breasts get a heavy bombardment until Nina hunches up as she backpedals. Sarah trying to herd the brunette to the ropes, but Nina gets that jab going again enough to thwart Sarah and make the blonde settle for winning a close round.

R4: Sarah cold on the surface, but she’s clearly fired up on the inside as she is briskly across the round to try to bang Nina back into her own corner! Nina not expecting this tactic looks swamped by Sarah’s incoming and she is being driven back to the turnbuckle! Nina manages to dart passed Sarah (somehow stepping on Sarah’s foot in the process drawing a howl from the blonde and cautionary warning from the referee). Nina seems undaunted by the reprimand, setting up shop at midring to deal with Sarah. Sarah pressing back in, shows some raw power (or is that indignation?) in knocking aside Nina’s jab to smack her head around with determined, accurate punching. Nina reeling under these blows, keeps her distance and buries her face protectively in her gloves. Sarah steady on the attack, not all of her punches are landing, but she looks very dominating and wins the round wide.

R5: Sarah right back at Nina, though the brunette’s too quick to be trapped in her corner again. Sarah circling around Nina, looking to find openings and wear her down. She’s mainly finding them to the body, but she starts feinting, hoping she can get Nina to open up and then shoot in a possible KO punch. Nina doing her best to keep Sarah from landing such a punch and they duel like this for the first two minutes. Then Nina unexpectedly makes a feint at Sarah’s trunks, Sarah quick to drop her gloves to cover the potential foul, but Nine sweeps in an uppercut to Sarah’s unguarded jaw AND THE BLONDE GOES DOWN! Sarah never saw that one coming until it hit and now she’s on her back, knees up, arms flung out. Crowd gasps in shock. Nina grins and prances to her corner. Sarah rolls to one side and pushes herself back to her feet barely beating count. Referee looks doubtful about letting this go on. Sarah quickly grows angry and convinces referee she can continue. However, Sarah’s not challenging Nina for the rest of this round, going all-defense to make sure there is no second knockdown.

R6: Sarah doesn’t seem her aggressive self this round. She is cautious and defensive. This seems fine with Nina who gets to spend the whole round tormenting the blonde with tricky footwork and surprise punches from odd angles. Sarah unwilling to be lured into more exchanges with Nina just uses her gloves to keep the KO punching away and her jab to keep Nina from sweeping the round. However it is still Nina winning the round wide and Nina seen taunting Sarah as they separate at the bell. Sarah whirls around in frustrated anger, but referee quick to get between them and give Nina stern talking-to about taunting. Nina nods her head, but smirks on her stool as Sarah glares at her across the ring.

R7: Sarah tries to get back in this fight with a determined charge in the first minute. She hammers her way forward, banging Nina mainly to the midsection, trying to get that head open. Nina jabbing fiercely and she’s got Sarah bleeding from her nose again, but the blonde just keeps coming. Then Nina does a quick back step just as Sarah is unloading a straight right. Nina ducks under the punch and comes up with a hook deep into the blonde’s solar plexus. Sarah comes to a dead stop, eyes bulging from the shock of the blow and, worse, her gloves are frozen at her breasts. Nina throwing everything she’s got into a sweeping right that connects with a SMACK they hear in the nose-bleed seats of the arena! SARAH CARTER GOES DOWN LIKE A POLE-AXED STEER! Sarah landing on her side and then rolling onto her back left arm down her side, right arm thrown across her face, legs straight and moving uselessly. Nina watches hungrily as the referee does his duty and when the count reaches “TEN!” Nina leaps up like a cheerleader watching her team score the winning TD!

The winner: Nina Dobrev KO7

After: “I knew I could take her,” Nina gloats to the press as she watches a rubbery-legged, but revived Sarah Carter being helped from the ring. “She thinks she’s SO tough, but I’m ‘Bulgarian Tough’ and don’t any of you forget that!” Nina adds smirkingly. “You notice how fast they got the ‘Melted Ice Queen’ out of here. Guess they were afraid what I’d do to her post-fight. I did have some ideas, but they wouldn’t have been much fun unless she was conscious enough to know what I was doing to her.”

Sarah Carter showing her usual resilience, actually manages to speak to the press that night. She defiantly tells scribes: “I admit I underestimated her ability to distract me. Yes, she nailed me, but only when I got careless. I am not going to forget that lesson. Next time is going to be a whole lot different.”

Exciting bout with as Nina Dobrev found the way to bring the Ice Queen down. Sarah Carter seems to have realized that as well, but will there really be a rematch any time soon? Nothing like a grudge match to pull in the fans, but while it would offer Sarah a chance for redemption, would the Lookout flyweight be all that willing to give it to her? Fans will be watching to find out.
