TESS VALMORE

Once again we remind readersr that our rankings differ from Boxing Worlds in that we only rank lightweight and welter divisions and most importantly, to be included in our top ten rankings a boxer must fight every third PPV or 90 days whichever is longer. Tractorpull also considers the quality of competition which we consider important We consider winning three of five when
facing top ten opponents better than winning five straight over B or C class opponents

LIGHTWEIGHTS

1 YVONNE STRAVOSKI. The champion is not necessarily our number one lightweight. In this case she is. Yvonne has won nine of her last ten. She currently has a spectacular73% win ratio

2 ODETTE YUSTMAN She may have suffered an upset loss earlier this year, but she has won seven of her last eight including wins over Larter and NIchols. Is deserving of a title shot. KOed Menounos in the June PPV

3 KATY PERRY She has won seven of her last nine including taking the title from Stravoski last December. Lost the title to Winstead in May

4 MISSY PEREGRYM Has won her last five including wins over NIchols, Lively and Cuoco. Last fought in May. A four time champion, two at lightweight she is well deserving of a title match

5 ERICA DURANCE She has a 68% win ratio. Has won six of her last seven with the loss being to Stravoski. She has had a problem staying active. Her last bout was in the May PPV. There is a good chance that inactivity will again remove her from the rankings

6 MARY ELIZABETH WINSTEAD. A tough veteran. Took the title from Perry had one successful defense before losing it to Stravoski in the June PPV. Has a long running series of bouts with the champ. Fights top people

7 KALEY CUOCO This four time champion and Hall OF Fame member takes the seventh spot. She’s only 4-4 in her last eight but that is pretty respectable when you look at the competition she has fought. Her last fight was in May

8 ANNA TORV She is five of her last six with her only loss being to Stravoski in a title fight. She is down in eighth because recent competition has been a little on the light side. She must fight on the next PPV or she will drop out

9 JENNIFER LAWRENCE It’s been a long time since she has been ranked this low, She is four for four this year but other that Cole her competition has not been A class. Last fought in the May PPV

10 GEMMA ARTERTON She is six for her last seven. Two of her wins were over ageing Hall Of Fame members Theron and Garner. Rest of her victims lived way down the food chain. Fought last on the May card

WHO MIGHT GET INTO THE TOP TEN

ADRIANE PALICKI Victim of inactivity

DANIELA RUAH. She was in our last top ten but since lost two bouts to first class welters. I understand she is now going to fight exclusively at lightweight. Good chance we will see her in the top ten

RACHEL NICHOLS Has had one fight this year and lost it.

ADRIANA LIMA Hasn’t fought since January

BROOKLYN DECKER Won thee of her last five. Her losses were to A class fighters, her wins, against B class

TOP WELTERWEIGHT

For the first time in a long time we have been able to come up with top ten welterweights. We have new faces in the lineup. The question is will they stay active.

1 BRIDGET REGAN Lays claim to the number one spot with an eight straight win streak including three title defenses against impressive opponents. Fought on the May card

2 CASSIDY FREEMAN Has won eight of Ten. One of her losses was to Regan. One of her victories was over Righetti Fought in May

3 KATRINA LAW Has won five of six. Her loss was to Freeman. Unfortunately she has periods of inactivity Fought on the May PPV

4 AMANDA RIGHETTI Became active again in May. Has won two of three. Her wins were mismatches and her loss to Regan in the May card. Fought in the June PPV

5 KATE UPTON Has won five of her last seven. What’s keeping her ahead of Sobieski is the competition she has faced. Last fought in June

6 LEELEE SOBIESKI She’s on an eight fight win streak but hasn’t fought a top welter. She needs to move up the food chain to stay ranked Last fought in May

7 SARAH LANCASTER After years of inactivity she returned in April to win the welter tournament with three straight KOs. Remains to be seen if she will remain active Last bout was in May

8 BIANCA KAJLICH After period of inactivity, this 38 year old looks to become active. She has had only six fights but won five of them including a TKO of Nolin in the June card

9 GEMMA ATKINSON claims the ninth slot by winning four of her last five and coming in second in the welter tournament. My guess is that she will not last long in the top ten. Fought in May

10 GENA LEE N0LEN Lost three of her last five including gettting punched out by Kajlich on the June card. She is in number ten because Mandy Moore dropped out because of inactivity
