BEFORE:

"Yes, it's been a while," Gillian says with a smile. "But, I'm in great shape and I can still do this, and that's what this is about. I'm closer to the end than the beginning, sure, but the end isn't here yet."

"She's a former champ," says Stewart with a nod, "So, she's no one to take lightly. She's smart and slick, and I know she thinks she can beat me, or she wouldn't have signed. But. She's wrong."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and..."

McCarthy: "That noise is AWFUL!"

O'Dell: "That would be 'Extremis' by Hal..."

McCarthy: "Hal who? Hal Linden? I loved him as 'Barnaby Miller'...no, wait. That was Buddy Edsel. Hal Linden was in 'Barney Jones'..."

Tess: "Buddy EDSEL?"

Cassie: "Hey, she's old enough to REMEMBER the Edsel..."

McCarthy: "Shut up, BOTH of you!"

O'Dell: "That counts. Drink up, boys. And, as I was saying, that's Hal..."

McCarthy: "Hal Holbrook?"

O'Dell: "HAL! JUST HAL! And, as I was SAYING, it's Hal featuring..."

McCarthy: "Hal McRae?"

O'Dell(sighing): "Hal, FEATURING the lady even now climbing into the ring, Gillian Anderson."

McCarthy: "Hal Jordan?"

Tess: "Yes, that's it, Mac. Green Lantern..."

McCarthy: "Hal Jordan isn't Green Lantern, that was Ryan Seacrest!"

Tess: "There can't possibly be a square for this, because I'm not even sure what just happened..."

O'Dell: "Anderson into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a yellow number and a body that doesn't look 46 years old..."

McCarthy: "Nothin' but a NUMBER. As I'll prove in my comeback..."

O'Dell: "And that's 'Helter Skelter', and that can only mean that the FCBA's biggest Beatles fan, 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart, is on her way to the ring..."

Cassie: "K-Stew, of course, at the top of the Front Street flyweight division at the moment..."

McCarthy: "Which is kind of like being at the top of the Mid-American Conference. It just proves you're the best of a bunch of bad teams..."

Tess: "Aaaannnd, before the emails, texts, and tweets begin, the opinions expressed by J-Mac are..."

Cassie: "Completely without merit?"

Tess: "I was going to say 'her own and do not reflect the opinions of HBO, the rest of the announce crew, Front Street Boxing or the FCBA', but, your thing works, too..."

McCarthy: "Shut. Up. WALMART!"

O'Dell: "Drink up again, boys, as Kristen is helped off with the robe to reveal that lime green number she likes. And, now it's time for some picks. Tess favors K-Stew. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Anderson's a champion. Stewart's a wannabe. Gillian."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess."

O'Dell: "Split panel. Let's see who's right. Off the bell, K-Stew wants to use the length and establish the jab. Anderson moving the feet well, slipping it, stepping forward, getting off in combination. Kristen firing right back and we've got some big exchanges underway early!"

McCarthy: "Already, Anderson proving to be the slicker fighter. Stewart wants that distance, and she's allegedly so precise with the jab, but Gillian getting past it with ease."

O'Dell: "Anderson with the hands high, picking off punches, ducking, slipping, stepping in to get off. Stewart banging back hard in counter, but Anderson fighting lead here, showing absolutely no rust in the opening round..."

Cassie: "Which is pretty amazing, frankly. You'd have expected a slower start."

O'Dell: "And you'd have been dead wrong, because Gillian's started quickly, and started well. She's getting to spots, putting punches together and getting work done, and we're seeing good, solid exchanges right to the bell. There it is, and Anderson's stepped in after a long layoff and grabbed the first round."

Tess: "This is why the FCBA is great. You just never know what might happen."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second round underway and Anderson right back to work. Have to love the footwork here, the head and shoulder movement. Gillian having little trouble slipping past Kristen's glove and getting to middle distances, and she's able to get off quickly when she does so..."

Cassie: "K-Stew answering back. She's getting the geometry down pretty well now and getting leather on target."

O'Dell: "And this is some scintillating stuff right now, as heavy punches are landing in these flurries. Stewart a good right hand and Anderson fires back and sends sweat flying with a right of her own. Both fighters getting combinations put together and landing a high percentage."

Tess: "A lot of skill on display right here, Jenny. You're seeing plenty of defensive work from both girls, but the punch stat is going to show plenty of leather is finding the mark."

O'Dell: "No doubt about that, and neither the work rate or the shooting percentage are decreasing as we head down the stretch. Anderson keeping the gloves high, ducking and dipping. Stewart responding with hooks. Final seconds slip into history and there's the bell. Close one to K-Stew."

McCarthy: "Tied at 19 after two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Third underway, and Anderson again aggressive, slipping forward, dropping her level, going body on Stewart now. Kristen responding again with hooks to the head. Gillian not slowed by any of that, keeps moving, slipping and dipping, hooking midsection, going upstairs with a straight right hand..."

Tess: "Anderson's answered two questions, one, how quickly she could shake the rust, and, two, if she still had the reflexes to fight at a high level, especially at fly. The third one might be the big one, though. Does she have the legs to compete after seven?"

O'Dell: "That's the question all fighters of a 'certain age' have to answer, and we won't get that answer from Gillian for awhile yet...OR MAYBE NOT AT ALL! Right hook from K-Stew and Gillian is ROCKED!"

McCarthy: "Caught her right on the button with it!"

O'Dell: "That she did, and Stewart is now looking to make quick work of the former champion. K-Stew going all in here, hammering away at Anderson, backing her up, trapping her on the ropes and swinging for the fences..."

Cassie: "This isn't like Stewart, who's usually extremely sound. She's letting 'em FLY..."

O'Dell: "And she's getting leather home in a big way. Anderson hanging on, covering up on the ropes, slickly doing enough to keep the referee from stopping this thing. Running clock, and, despite one more good right from Kristen, she'll run it out. There's the bell. Anderson survives it. K-Stew's round, wide..."

Tess: "But it's still only 29-28 and far from over."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Fourth round underway and Anderson playing a little defense now. Gillian not stepping forward, she's staying out at range, allowing K-Stew to box lead and looking to counter. Stewart working the left jab, looking to find spots for the right. Anderson making that very tough. She's moving the head and shoulders, ducking, moving the feet..."

McCarthy: "Stewart should be pressuring here, and if she had any kind of corner, they'd tell her that. Anderson doesn't have the legs under her right now, that's why she's looking to counter, and this kid is playing right into her hands."

O'Dell: "K-Stew patient. Popping jab after jab to locate, working hard to set up power punches. Gillian slippery, scoring well in counter. Good, tactical stuff right now, with the younger fighter trying to match a veteran whose first FCBA fight came when Stewart was eight years old. Anderson ducks a left, lands a hard right and IS SENT STAGGERING BY A RIGHT HOOK!"

Cassie: "Caught her clean again..."

O'Dell: "Stewart a solid left and an overhand right and DOWN GOES ANDERSON! A BOOMING right hand from K-Stew and Gillian dropped face first to the mat. Stewart to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Six. Anderson pushes up to hands and knees. Seven. Eight. Gillian up to her knees. Nine. TEN! It's over! Anderson still on her knees as the count passes her by, and your winner by KO4 is 'The Five-Tool Player', Kristen Stewart!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kristen Stewart, and, K-Stew, were you surprised how aggressive and effective Gillian was?"

Kristen: "Not at all. She's a good, veteran fighter, a former champion. She has the skills, and she's in great shape. I expected a fight from her. Like they say, there are plenty of girls in this division she can beat. I'm just not one of them."

Tess: "What's up next for you?"

Kristen(smiling): "Like I said before, .there's a girl on my list. We'll see what management does about it."
