Before: “I’m here to pummel this Sharknado girl and move on back up to the top of the division. That’s what former champions do. When we’re down we take the opponents were given, move back to top contention and leave Sharknado girls in our wake. Sorry Cassie it’s just the way things have to be.” Christina Ricci announces as Cassie Scerbo looks on with a bewildered look. 

“You know I don’t think that I like her. I usually see something half decent in whomever I’m going to fight, except Fudgy and Panny Pants Suit that is, but I don’t see that here. I’m going to bop her in the head so hard that she’s going to be crying for her mommy and I mean real loud.” Cassie retorts as only Cassie Scerbo can. 

Christina in a navy blue one piece suit that hugs her body and has leggings that go down to mid thigh, gloves and shoes are navy blue as well. Scerbo in a Bazz Black bikini with matching gloves and calf boots. Both girls sticking to flyweight traditional ponytails. 

Rd 1 Christina comes out relaxed and loose looking to score some easy points at the outset until Cassie comes out like a ball of fire unleashing some serious quickness on the unsuspecting Adams Family protege. Ricci in sudden retreat while Scerbo snaps off some well timed jabs and rapid right hands. Bazz fly scores some points until Ricci slows the pace with some counterpunching and good movement around the ring. Ricci content to back pedal around the ring while Scerbo gives chase stalking after her. Still Scerbo is too quick around the ring and is seemingly making good on her prefight promise to bop Ricci on the head, repeatedly. Ricci successfully covers up with elbows in and mitts up around her face now, making Cassie come to her. When within reach Ricci goes after Scerbo with some effective counter punching staunching the furious blur of punches coming from the Bazz girl. Cassie switches to a rhythm of tight in close punching hoping to hurt Ricci’s body hoping to get an uppercut to the chin but gets nothing. Ricci scoring with short punches in close winning a very close first round. 

Rd 2 With the results of the first round in, a rather miffed Cassandra Lynn storms out of the blocks with a keen focus on the job at hand. She circles Ricci snapping off sharp jabs as she goes. Christina’s hands are up protecting from the Scerbo onslaught. The two girls create some space between each other and then treat the crowd to some frenzied punching. Ricci throwing combinations hoping to catch her diabolical opponent while Cassie jitterbugs just out of range occasionally dancing in and planting a left or right on one of Christina’s cheeks. Both girls going all out now. Ricci swinging away trying to draw Scerbo into a knock down drag out brawl. Cassie not taking the bait knowing that she is practically unbeatable when making her opponent throw on the track suit and run with her. She‘s dancing around on her toes not letting Ricci really get to her. Gradually the tide turns Cassie’s way. She’s built to bully and brawl but she’s at her best when she shows some elegance in her movements and punches. Scerbo confusing and tormenting Christina as the bell rings. 

Rd 3 Scerbo out with some swagger for this round but still all business as the bell rings. Cassie throwing rapid fire jabs at Christina who is trying to figure out how to stop the pesky firefly from sweeping the fight away from her. Cassie stepping in, leaning on her left leg and laying down some punishment with jabs to Ricci’s head and following up with low side arm right hand buggywhips to the body. Christina fighting back with short counter punches when Scerbo attacks content to score when Cassie comes into range. As the bell clangs Cassie’s ringmanship and speed has widened her lead. 

Rd 4 Both girls up in the other’s grill at the outset of this round. Rough in close punching with the occasional elbow being thrown, good old fashioned pesky flyweight work being done here. Christina with elbows in protecting against the painful Scerbo right hand buggywhip and punching straight ahead tagging Cassie’s noggin with her jab. Scerbo connecting with underhand punches to gut and jug. Fighters staying connected at center ring until one of Ricci’s jabs pushes Scerbo back and off her mark bringing a roar from a restless crowd. Ricci now set up like a rock em sock em robot with a strong defense and muscular forearms pushing her case against Scerbo. Raven haired puncher starting to push around the Bazz fly with short straight on punches and mauling maneuvers with her shoulders and elbows. Scerbo in a slow retreat allowing Ricci to push forward and win the round. 

Rd 5 Ricci gaining confidence having slowed Scerbo down a bit with her methodical strategy of using the inside game. Scerbo out from a distance at the beginning of the round showing off obvious superior quickness. Ricci playing it smart backing off of Scerbo’s jabs and right hand crosses until the Bazz girl tries to duck in to inflict damage and then unleaching her own barrage of short poer packed punches landing them on Scerbo’s midsection and one or two grazing the chin. Ricci continually setting up the confrontation so that Scerbo will have to dance into her wheelhouse if she wants to try and score points. Both fighters now wrestling for position with Ricci the aggressor forcing the action and winning the round. 

Rd 6 Ricci laying back as Scerbo skips around her looking for a way in without getting scuffed up. Ricci seems to be willing to wait even catching a warning from the referee for stalling. Scerbo just tired of the slow pace starts to press the matter dancing into position leaning in with her left leg and letting off with a rapid fire combination. Ricci’s defense seems as tough as an armadillo’s shell so Scerbo is forced to plant her feet and battle it out with Ricci with an inside game. Christina not forcing any clinches but happy to have scerbo back within range of her short poser punching. Scerbo momentarily burrowing in allowing Ricci to score until suddenly the blond fly takes a half step backwards and unleashes an overhand right. Too quick for Ricci again with a left hand uppercut and DOWN GOES CHRISTINA! The right hand hidden away while Ricci tries to press her advantage with close inside punches until Cassie Scerbo sees her chance putting the raven haired flyweight into a daze with the overhand punch and then finishing her off with a strong left to the chin. Winner Cassandra Lynn Scerbo with a KO in the 6th round. 

After: Cassie luxuriating on her stool taking reporters’ questions as she watches Christina Ricci being led back to her corner, her left eye already shut, a huge lump forming where Scerbo’s right hit home. “Yeah figuring Christina out was like an interesting puzzle. She’s smart and she stuck to her strategy but I got around it.” When asked by Tess Valmore if she had played possum for a round to get Ricci comfortable with an inside game, Cassandra Lynn simply smiles while unwrapping the tape from her hands. She’s too smart for that sort of stuff, I told you that, just too smart.”
