BBU LIONESS CLUB SUMMER SPECIAL PPV

UNIFIED BANTAMWEIGHT TITLE

(Lioness Club vs Double A Boxing)

BEFORE: Jessica Schwarz became the first three-time BBU champion just last month when she somewhat surprisingly knocked out the very highly touted Leah Dizon and returns to defend her bantamweight title belt just six weeks later against another former divisional champion, Una Healy's who probably made the most noise in the whole organization over the last few months thanks to her public feud with Dorota Rabczewska. The Lioness Club hoped to block Healy's title dreams by sending Rabczewska against the Irish singer back in June but that idea collapsed when the Polish singer was stopped in the seventh round and elevated Healy into #1 contender status on the spot.

Schwarz is no stranger to making a big fight happen and has enough experience & success to be considered as favorite in almost all of her bouts now. That wasn't exactly the case with Dizon who had a perfect KO record coming into this fight but Healy is just about as good as the German actress and probably a Top 3 all-time in the BBU bantamweight division. A pregnancy pause stalled her progress three years ago but she's returned in a better shape than ever and is considered as an improved fighter compared to her original title reign back in 2011. Can she go all the way again here in Barnet tonight? The local crowd has witnessed all four of the Lionesses go down in a heap on the undercards but Jessica can still score the home run winner by retaining her belts! Let's go down ringside...

Jessica Schwarz wears a red bikini top, black knickers and golden gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a bun at the back of her head. Una Healy wears an Irish green bikini top, white knickers and orange gloves. Carrot hair in loose waves. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the bantamweight division.

Round 1:

Una storms out of her stool and begins stalking the champ who was well aware the blitz is coming though and both women trade vicious leather in the middle of the ring bobbing each other's heads like there's no tomorrow before settling down without a clear winner. Una looks more lively of the two and has the veteran rooted to the spot a little which enables the singer to land more punches however they lack precision as the round progresses and Jessica comes out as the wiley campaigner weathering the Irish storm which then results in a wrestling struggle as Una becomes too upset over the bulletproof defence of her opponent. The crowd never expected this one to end quickly so the repeated clinching in the final minute is met with wholesale understanding.

Round 2:

Healy looks to make another early jump on the champion and whips several hooks straight up the middle but just can't find the breakthrough and is backed down by a quick series on the body as Jessica leans on the front leg and adds more versatile action to her display. She has Una dancing away on her toes but still aiming upstairs with heavy artillery and if there's any bantam out there who can match Schwarz for sheer punching power, it's the Irish singer no doubt. A brief duck & weave motion from the champ before another midriff assault pins Healy back but still agile enough to escape the defensive route back to the ropes and then action slows down in the final minute again with Jessica unwilling to chase the challenger in fruitless fashion but saving some energy instead; Una's happy about it as well and just gives the actress a big death stare before walking back to her stool.

Round 3:

Una still keeps coming at the champ, this time via a crossing route and digs some low jabs on the liver area to open some options up high but Jessica's experience gets her out of imminient trouble and triggers another head snapping tussle to increase the crowd's support. Both women settle into more pinball efforts up high but for once Una gets the better of the actress and freezes her with a huge double combo that is followed by a classic hook to the jugs and Schwarz buckles on her heels having to yield real estate in a hurry. Una launches herself into a frantic jabbing that clips the jaw and wobbles the champion back to the ropes where the singer lays it into the breadbasket barking in anger in the proccess. Even Jessica's experience doesn't count for much now as she has to soak up some Irish leather and spends the final minute trapped butt-in-ropes with Healy making all the plays around the midriff as the high guard withstands the barrage to leave the crowd still cheering the German's name at the bell.

Round 4:

Una seeks more destruction and her visible agility advantage begins to take it's toll on the champ who still refuses to jump all in other than those two head hunting efforts thus far. More Irish leather stalks the German's midriff and Una's dropped the upstairs approach for good and brawls it out in close range muscling and shoving the veteran back on her heels. Jessica clips her jaw in a solid response but that's just not enough to halt the singer's charge and a wayward hooking combo opens more holes and enables Healy to bounce off the cheeks instead wobbling Schwarz worryingly often enough to force a clinch in the final minute with Jessica running short on options. Una tries to bulldoze her way on the liver area again but is almost tripped over to the canvas and eats a late hook on the jaw as Schwarz fights from the back foot and nails her with a quick hook on the eye right at the bell however that probably wasn't enough to win her the round.

Round 5:

Jessica tries to up her tempo to cover up the incoming blitz and Una just doesn't show any signs of fatigue or even losing her temper as she crashes into the German's cheeks with a cross hooking charge and enforces her presence in close range, reeling the champ on the heels. Healy really turns up the heat now and works high again looping jabs on the temples and freezing the champion in the middle of the ring again. Schwarz tries to make something happen with straight jabs but weaves on her feet and lacks the touch neccessary to throw the redhead off her comfort zone; subsequently the brunette has to yield real estate again and even though Una doesn't find the big punch anymore, she keeps hassling the actress in very comfortable fashion and wins the round on sheer artistic impression than actual punishment delivered.

Round 6:

Schwarz has found herself in many holes before and usually reverted to her supreme punching power to turn the tables on her opponents but Healy really takes it to another level - what should perhaps be expected from a former champion after all - and outworks the German in close range to blast a decisive hook on the temple and reel Jessica on her heels with a quiet scowl. Heavy slugging follows as Una tries to trap the brunette on the ropes and snaps her head back with repeated strikes to sway the champ on her feet but misses a put away hook on the temple and wobbles into a lenghty clinch as Schwarz hangs on here by her finger nails and receives a clear support from the referee who allows the local favorite to catch some breath while Healy desperately tries to break free but only drills the ribcage briefly and is shut off in the stalemate. Finally the girls are seperated but Jessica jumps into mid range circles and has the redhead fuming as she can't quite close her down and looks to be suffering from fatigue for the first time tonight.

Round 7:

Una needs to catch her breath after a brawling display which has generally brought her a lot of success thus far but without any knockdowns and facing a Schwarz supportive crowd this bout is far from being over and Denise van Outen thinks the Saturdays' girl will HAVE to send the champion down if she wants to become the new bantamweight queen. Jessica's endurance helps her again to survive the difficult period but despite Una visibly taking her foot off the gas, she refuses to pounce with all guns blazing and the round follows a clinching stalemate scenario which actually satisfies both parties and even the crowd understands that it's too early for the German to make her moves. Can the challenger actually secure the title without that precious knockdown? That leaves even the BBU TV crew puzzled as we count the rounds down.

Round 8:

Una recovers from the low key seventh round to jump right back into a close range assault and snaps the champion's head back however Jessica accepts the gunslinger mentality and wades in on the jugs making the redhead squeal in pain. Here comes the heavy lifting from Schwarz who romps away to body and bends the Irish girl sideways unable to live with core strenght of the veteran. Schwarz switches up high and looks for some proper snapping as Una covers up in earmuff and loops weak response but has refuses to yield an inch and weathers the German storm until Jessica flicks a jabbing series to the ribcage and backs the redhead into the ropes come the final minute. Jessica seeks the haymaker breakthrough and drops her intensity improving the accuracy in the proccess but Healy weaves away from the big punch despite being well trapped and has the actress skimming off her temples and wobbling into a late clinch that leaves the Barnet crowd disappointed.

Round 9:

Schwarz seeks more fast tempo approach and looks to have saved a bit more energy however Una's a former champion herself and absolutely keen to regain her long lost title. More heavy jabbing opens the ninth but the precision deserts the brunette and Healy's looping overhands smack off her face to slow the cavalry down. Schwarz brawls it out with some body assault and jug clipping but that's just not good enough to bother the singer who crashes a whirlwind uppercut on the jaw and sinks the champion on soft knees before riffling a series on the cheeks to back her into the ropes after a quick stumble in the proccess. Jessica looks to retain her stance but Una gives her no time and buries her butt-in-ropes as a result and leans her head right into Jessica's face to crank it up one more time and blast a jabbing series on the ribcage. Schwarz soaks it all up but begins to squeal loud and offers little back in the final minute whereas Healy hits the red mist mode and leaves the champion's ribcage well bruised at the bell and has to be dragged away by the ref while the crowd is poised for a huge Irish victory now according to Denise van Outen in the booth.

Round 10:

Schwarz is too slow across the canvas to mount one last assault and Una's happy to bide her time in mid distance waiting for the champion to make her moves. As much as endurance is the key to Jessica's success, the gruesome nature of this contest seems to have gotten the better of her and she only skims off the forearms and wobbles forward in a futile effort to somehow take the singer down. Healy in flamboyant mood thereafter, drops her mitts and shouts back at the champ, keeps her well in sights though with a measured looping overhand stance and digs into the bruised cheeks in the final minute again as Jessica's on rubber legs her and doesn't have the strenght required to punish the redhead anymore. One last clinch curtains her defence and Una underlines her superiority by wrestling the brunette spinning back to the turnbuckle, Jessica sweating all over the place but simply unable to handle the former champion who's seconds away from a famous comeback to the top of the division... the bell rings and it's all over... Jessica slumps down and puts the gloves on her knees while trying to catch her breath while Una lifts both her hands in the air and the verdict seems pretty obvious... Comes back UD10 for your winner through unanimous decision and the NEW BBU bantamweight champion Una Healy!!!

AFTER: Una's waited for this a long time and screams out in delight while glaring down at the otherwise hostile London crowd before turning back to her corner to soak up more joy. Jessica just shakes her head and looks to be well aware she wasn't good enough on the night but remains in high spirits as coach Gina Wild removes her crowd. She shares a mutual respect with the Irish victrix and there's no post-fight argy bargy present but instead Schwarz hands over the title belts and wraps it around Una's waist herself to calm the jeering and hecking from the crowd down.

"This was my last attempt at the title anyway", she says to Denise van Outen afterwards, "I found myself in a position to be the top girl in the division but well, I'd really like to punish the likes of Alesha Dixon and Lisa Maffia again. It's not the same thing with them going there to America and earning the dollar salary. Una's a tough girl, she came back after her pregnancy and I leave the belt in good hands. With Alesha, Lisa and me, that was the Big Three of the bantams but well, it looks like Una's even better than all of us now as she was back in 2011. But don't tell Dorota Rabczewska that! (laughs). At least the Lioness crew will have one girl looking to destroy Una for a very long time now... As for me? Well, I'm not retiring just yet like some of you experts predicted. I'm just not interested in the belts anymore. But I will wait for Alesha and Lisa to come back from America so I can still show them where they belong! And if anyone's naive enough to challenge me, I'll consider all the options!"

What about the old/new champion? "I'm just glad to be there sitting on top of the division again. It was a long journey for me but I knocked that Polish bimbo silly and will do that again and again if she wants to. Jessica Schwarz was just a name on my list. I wanted the title back and I got it back. She's tough and deserves all the credit she gets but she's not as pretty as I am and well, it's better to have an Irish BBU champ rather than a German one! (laughs). I have plenty of years left in me and well, guess I'm the best there ever was from the Saturdays now? (laughs), Sorry, Rochelle, you've missed your chances! (laughs)".

Final result: Una Healy def. Jessica Schwarz UD10.
