"I was very happy to accept a fight against the 'great' Christina Hendricks," commented Liv Tyler in an interview held shortly after the match was announced. "She's gotten a few lucky breaks and it's gotten to her head. I mean, rubbing her udders all over Cat like that -- ugh. I'm sure she has similar plans for everybody she goes up against from now on, and someone needs to break these habits early. It's going to be fun to beat her and remind her that she actually has to share the spotlight and behave herself."

Hendricks was quick to fire back once the interview with her opponent was published. "I'm not sure why Liv thinks she's worthy of my, ahem, signature finisher. Really, with all of the trouble management gave me over last time, it isn't worth the trouble to subject her to it. Even if it would be funny." Her predictions for the match were to the point. "Liv might be a little bit taller than me, but I'm used to being on the shorter end of the welter spectrum. She's about to find out exactly how I've been getting 'lucky' lately, up close."

Both camps sat through an anxious but uneventful setup. Hendricks, dressed in black athletic wear, confidently faced off against her opponent. Tyler, wearing red, seemed less interested in her opponent than in attracting the spotlight, her pretty smile covering up a willingness to get in the ring and slug it out against tough competition.

Round 1:

In the opening minute, both fighters played it safe, circling each other and being quick to disengage. Tyler found her footing first. The brunette picked her shots carefully, but made each of them count as she seemed to know what Hendricks' moves would be in advance. While Hendricks was skillful enough to make Tyler's life difficult even as she pulled ahead, landing a painful looking combination of body punches in the second minute and generally making Tyler pay for her success throughout, the redhead returned to her corner with the scorecard in Tyler's favor.

Round 2:

The second round saw a confident Tyler taking the fight to Hendricks and building on her success. Managing to pummel the curvy redhead in the opening of the round, Tyler looked poised to run away with the fight. However, before Tyler's corner could relax, Hendricks adjusted her tactics, playing keep away with her opponent instead of going head to head. Keeping things varied, Hendricks surprised Tyler with a quick blow or two before fading away and repeating the process, always ready to punish any poorly planned attacks. While barely better than a draw on points for Hendricks, she had stopped Tyler's momentum and caused the brunette to spend the break scowling in frustration.

Round 3:

Getting more irritated by the second, Tyler swung away at her red headed rival bravely, but without much success. Hendricks was still able to avoid the worst of the brunette's offense, punishing the odd slip up and driving her back here and there. Thus far, Hendricks had rarely landed much worse than a firm tap, the threat of a more substantial follow up enough to keep Tyler under control. However, after Tyler mistakenly went after her rival a bit too slowly, Hendricks put her weight behind a straight right and Tyler walked onto it. The blow snapped Tyler's head back, immediately causing the brunette to stare blankly ahead and drop anything resembling a strategy. Hendricks, seeing her opponent's weakness, hit her with everything. Tyler was forced into the role of the turtle, but dazed enough that the redhead's fists found her cheeks and jaw many times before the bell.

Round 4:

Only slightly recovered during the break, Tyler re-entered the fight swinging at her rival violently, perhaps in the hope of winning the lottery and landing a lucky shot. After a few moments, it was clear that this would not pay off. Hendricks was prepared, tapping away a Tyler as she tried to put together a coherent offense, softening her up even further. As Tyler started to fall apart, Hendricks ended the fight abruptly, landing a right hook to the pretty brunette's chin than spun her around and dropped her to the canvas, limp before she landed. Hendricks, too optimistically, made a show of stretching, staying warmed up, and looking ready to continue. However, Tyler only managed to blink and raise her head a few inches before thinking better of it, dropping her head loosely to the mat and staring at the ceiling with a pained expression on her face as the count ended. The referee was forced to interrupt Hendricks' personal celebration over Tyler's prone figure by gently tugging on her fist and lifting it over her head. The final result -- a very thorough KO4 Hendricks.

True to her word, Hendricks allowed Tyler to peacefully recover from the final blow, though she did make sure that the cameras caught her standing over the helpless woman. Tyler, meanwhile, was forced to spend several minutes on the ground being fussed over by ring staff before she could rise, still looking confused and ignoring her surroundings and making a hasty exit shortly after the announcement.

Hendricks, after enough time had elapsed that she could be considered presentable again, sat down and reviewed the tape with an interviewer. "I like this one right here," she commented, pausing the footage a split second after her fist crashed into Tyler's cheek, shutting her eyes and contorting her face. "Only five minutes in and I think she's about given up. But maybe she had a bad night and wants to try again? She might make it past the halfway point if she practices hard." Hendricks went on to play the final punch and Tyler's collapse on loop for several minutes while talking about her future plans; while the actress named no specific names, she made it clear that she had plenty of fights planned for the future.

Tyler, in her only statement regarding the match, managed to remain vaguely defiant without actually expressing interest in a rematch.
